"It was a nice day, birds were chirping" sounds similiar to "the sky was blue and the birds were singing" as a major accomplishment (in their minds) came to fruition in Washington DC.

Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, spoke exclusively with NBC Chicago's Dick Johnson about why they joined the Election Night celebration in the park, where 40 years before they helped stage the Days of Rage riots.
The couple said they got last-minute tickets from a friend to be in Grant Park that night.
"I couldn't stop crying a couple of times. I found the exact spot where I was beaten 40 years ago," Ayers said. "But I've never been in a crowd that large that wasn't edged with either anger or drunkenness or gluttony, and it was really an extraordinary feeling."

Ok, strike the Washington DC reference I made. The Pentagon is obviously in Virginia, not DC.

If course nothing happened- this is going to be the theme of Obama and MSM until after November- see, nothing has changed! Except that everything is (somehow) better.

Could well be, although it wouldn't necessarily had to have come from Ayers himself. Obama is surrounding by these same like-minded dirt bags.
Bill Ayers pathetic bombing campaign would be a welcome reprieve from the onslaught of elected politicos who think like he does.
Much as I think Obama’s steeped in Ayers’ blather, that’s a pretty typical and cliched formulation.
It is really just an indication that he’s a jerk who has contempt for everyone who dares to question him.
My immediate reaction, too! What a vile little immature punk. He’s made very immature childish and petulant statements about five times in the last two days. The man is VERY mentally disturbed, no doubt about it.

I think the analogy is too big a stretch. However, Ayers and Obama are both birds - of a feather!
