I have a friend who went home to the south of France and she said it was very intimidating, the women in burkas and the men sneering.

I got nothing against Islam.

Or against women wearing veils or Burkas because that is how they were raised up.I don’t act with the respect for women that I should have but I can try and understand them....sometimes.

However in this situation,it is not about defrocking Muslim women but about making it illegal for them to break under social pressure.

Again I wouldn’t have anything against Muslim dress but it is not always those wearing it who made the choice to wear it.
