SNIPPET: “Brooksville, Florida - Capitol Police and the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a death threat against U.S. Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite.
The voicemail left at the Hernando County Republican’s district office in Brooksville said, “Just wanna let you know I have 27 people that are going to make sure that this b***h does not live to see her next term. Good-bye.”
A news release from Brown-Waite’s office says investigators are subpoenaing telephone records. Brown-Waite wishes to have the caller “prosecuted to the full extent of the law.” A spokesperson at Brown-Waite’s Washington, D.C. office says the congresswoman will not be doing interviews about the threat and will not release the audio of the voicemail to the public at the request of the Capitol Police.”
