Benjamin Netanyahu was left to stew in a White House meeting room for over an hour after President Barack Obama abruptly walked out of tense talks to have supper with his family, it emerged on Thursday.
The snub marked a fresh low in US-Israeli relations and appeared designed to show Mr Netanyahu how low his stock had fallen in Washington after he refused to back down in a row over Jewish construction in east Jerusalem.
The Israeli prime minister arrived at the White House on Tuesday evening brimming with confidence that the worst of the crisis in his country's relationship with the United States was over.
...
When the Israeli prime minister stalled, Mr Obama rose from his seat declaring: "I'm going to the residential wing to have dinner with Michelle and the girls."
As he left, Mr Netanyahu was told to consider the error of his ways. "I'm still around," Mr Obama is quoted by Israel's Yediot Ahronot newspaper as having said. "Let me know if there is anything new."

Aw... I guess Hillary can come over from the State Dept..and patched up some more of this mess, build some more walls. This is the most transparent administration of modern history, a real TEAM...
Elections have consequences. Wars have consequences. The Arabs lost.
Hebrew to a muzzie is like garlic to a vampire.
Crass, so crass. Nobama has no class at all. I cannot stand his hubris.
Bastard.
Netanyahu can have dinner with my family anytime.
“Are you enjoying this circus, put on by your president, at Israels expense?”
My Jewish friends will bluster about how concerned they are about Israel and how important being Jewish is to them and then in November they will vote Liberal Democratic again. When push comes to shove they are always more Liberals/Democrats than they are Jews! I have repeatedly told many of them how full of crap they are.
It was naive to even have come in the first place.
Bibi should publicly embarass this little piece of zhit muslim....
What a dick!
I once had coffee with Brigadier General Natke Nir and he spoke of the love and support he knows Conservative Christians have for Israel. He told of his many trips to America and the commonality of interests and heritage we have. He greatly appreciates and loves American conservatives. He just shook his head when I mentioned American Jewery. People of character know what is going on.
Agreed. Bibi’s aides should have persuaded him not to have come.
On the other hand, maybe Bibi thought that his speech at AIPAC and the warm welcome he received from Republicans and Congress would have shown Obama the level of support he (Netanyahu) enjoys in the United States.
This is typical of the way Obama is treating our allies. The Japanese are re-evaluting their relationship, Obama chose Chavez over Honduras, Russia over Poland, the Pali’s over Israel, etc.
When Israel and China relations begin to warm the US had better pay VERY close attention.
When you start by doing serious damage to US-Israel relations, it is not difficult to imagine a scenario that is much worse then Obama-care.
Bibi is going to appear very weak though if he does not take Obama to the woodshed.
If he will not stand up to zero and allow himself and his country to be treated this way it only shows weakness to Muslims - and that is EXACTLY why Obama is doing this.
He wants Israel to appear weak and under American thumb to embolden their enemies to attack her.
The “President” is lower class than trailer trash. He stinks to high Heaven!
