. . .but I trust Governor Palin, and if she thinks that Rand Paul is better than the ex-Democrat, that voted for Bill Clinton in 1992 and is considered pretty moderate, then I will accept her study of the situation.

Cheney has endorsed Grayson. . .and so think I will go with him. That and the fact that IMHO, a Republican convert is still better than a confirmed Libertarian - worse a Green Libertarian (?) - running under Republican name/banner. Paul's belief in limited Government does not override his more very critical defeciencies per his foreign policy views; including Afghanistan, Iran. . .'war on terror'; Gitmo et al - which more closely mirror our current occupant of White House.

As Sara Palin is tied into the Tea Party; it is only politically natural for her to endorse Paul - and to make a substantial contribution to his Campaign. (The next logical question; would you be supporting McCain for the same reason?)

This reminds of the taxi driver I mentioned in another post. . .who 'guessed' he was for healthcare bill because Obama was a Democrat and so was he. Whatever the case; it will be an interesting - and telling - election.

And a very critical one for Republican Party. . .

I don’t trust “Gays in the military” Cheney, nor the Romney crowd. I do trust Palin. Grayson and his support seem weak to me, as far as McCain, that is a unique situation for Palin and like Jim Robinson and Rush Limbaugh I accept it.

Didn’t you also have a lot of faith in Mitt Romney back in the day, your name seems familiar?

The “thought process” of some voters makes me shudder.

Right, especially given those comments about Grayson are about his political leanings from decades ago when he was a teenager and early 20 something as an undergraduate in college. They use that and act like he was some sort of prominent politician - he was a kid. Asinine argument. If the teenage Trey Grayson or college kid Trey Grayson was on the ballot he sure as heck would not have my vote - but the grown-up, adult Trey Grayson is who is actually on the ballot.

And it is quite telling none of these Rand Paul defenders are addressing the fact the main point of this is the character issue - Rand Paul has denied this was ever on his official website, which it was, has denied this was ever his position, but in addition to this, he is on tape being highly critical of it and saying it damaged the reputation of the U.S. which is entirely consistent with his comments on this post, and now called his opponent Trey Grayson a “liar” for suggesting this was ever his position.
