Idiots on Special Report say they new Gallup poll out today means the GOP is now in trouble since Americans are now behind Obamacare
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
No, Geraldo says what he says because he's an idiot.
I guess the panel didn’t see the Rasmussen poll that said 49% want their states to sue while on 37% do not. duh.
“Dems have won on this in many aspects, particularly with the use of the media. It is now law and people are tired ...”
That they own the media is no news flash—no flame but the 1994 `assault weapons ban’ was law, too.
You and I must have watched a different show. Except for the gal, they were mostly ridiculing the idea and fickleness of DC poll driven politics. Krauthammer made a good point-— it was a mistake to make the primary Rep talking point the fact that the public opposes the bill rather than clearly stating repeatedly the principles behind the opposition, Paul Ryan being an exception among Republican spokesmen. Polls will swing closer to Democrats and then the talking point will be pointless. I heard several Rep today talk about the ‘good points’ in the bill, which will be popular until our insurance premiums skyrocket because of mandated unlimited benefits, no refusal for pre-existing conditions, etc. And he said that Rep are overestimating the negative effects of the vote on Democrats in the fall, which I think is pretty clearly true.
Not particularly.
I found the panel rather irritating, too...I also dound the lack of conversation on FR irritating...I’m kind of numb today...I look to hear drom Rush tomorrow...
And the mistake the GOP made was playing 'footsie' with Obama.
They should have ignored him, since he was going to use any tactic he could to pass the Bill.
The GOP had better play some hardball and stop looking for 'common ground'.
I don’t normally watch special report, but I got home from work early tonite and caught this segment....the panel was going on about how the Republicans should move on and let go of the healthcare issue...and they made sure they reported the Kenyan goat herders polling numbers were going up....
Bingo !
Get up and get yourself to the head of the class !
“What I read is the it is required for the insurance companies to maintain as beneficiaries until the age of 26 those children on their parents insurance policies.”
Well, yes, from the insurance companies’ perspective, it is “required.” Which is not to say that just because you’re 26 you’ll be on yuour parents’ plan. That’s an option parents and children can exploit if they like. But by no means are parents required to “carry insurance for [their] child until they are 26,” as you stated.
Here's the link... I don't know if you can replay tonight's show:

Apparently Steve Hayes was flooded with e-mails today, assuming he was "on board" with the democRATs, celebrating the new polls (per yesterday's show). He said absolutely not... he was MOCKING those polls. He pointed out they were done by Gallup (and I forgot the other poll) and they didn't poll LIKELY VOTERS, just "people".
He mocked how Robert Gibbs and the White House - and Politico - immediately picked up on those polls, proclaiming victory for Obama and the DemocRATs (meaning the RATs will be victorious in November because of HC reform), and Steve mocked how Gibbs tweeted out the "good news" all over the place, to much fawning by the MSM.
He said he thinks the Republicans pretty much have the ball in their court, and momentum is with them leading up to November. He said Republicans should talk about the unpopular healthcare bill and the process at how the democRATs got it passed, but especially focus on the BIGNESS of it (expanding government).
In no way was Steve celebrating these STUPID polls. Steve's a conservative... have no doubt.
A.B. Stoddard wasn't on tonight's show (Nina Easton was instead), so I don't know Stoddard's take on her comments last night.
We all make mistakes and he made one.
