How do you feel about insurance companies rejecting people with pre-existing conditions? I never really thought about that before...but I think that’s pretty sh*tty.
The Republicans will repeal ObamaCare in the same manner that they repealed Medicare.
Once the government takes over health care it will decide what treatmet you’ll get.Do you think that will work?
The leftists on the S.C have used European laws and customs to define ours. Our regional lower Federal Courts have used the existence of civil unions to find a right for Gay marriage. Now we have a bill that was passed with no bipartisan support, against the will of the people, and ,at the current moment, 12 states enjoined in a suit to make it unconstitutional. Personally I’d like to see at least half of the states in this suit. However, it should be unconstitutional for someone to buy a product simply because their breathing. How this law affects all stripes of people...college students on the edge, people between jobs and retraining with little $$ resources, the poor elderly just holed up in the house living a substitence existence with no extra money and just want to be left alone,...I dont know. But there have been many times in my life where I had little money and was transitoning and the last thing I needed was IRS headaches.
It ain’t a perfect system, but it happens because these “nasty” companies do not wish to price their policies out of sight or go bankrupt; margins are already thin (3.5% you read that right 3.5% not 35%). Many employer sponsored policies limit the exclusion time for this already. If it’s life threatening, at least before Obamacare a hospital had to treat you even if you cannot pay.
If you buy insurance after you require it (pre-existing condition), then it’s no longer insurance.
In addition, no insurance company could stay in business offering a reasonably priced premium allowing pre-existing conditions to be covered.
I believe with that one the benefits fountain started right away and the premiums were ridiculously cheap.
How do you feel about government bureaucrats telling you how to run your life down to its most intimate details?
I guess you’re in favor of it.
Then rethink what insurance really is. Its a business that bets against odds. If it cannot determine the odds its like a casino that never can win at its own tables. It would go broke verry soon. That of course is what the Marxists in Washington want. They want to be the only game in town.
The Intolerable Acts were imposed on the colonies and as a result, the colonies formed the First Continental Congress, pledged to support Massachusetts in opposition to the King, and in the end saw the beginning of fighting at Lexington and Concord.
Do we now see the Stamp Act? Something to be repealed? I say that will not happen.
Or do we see the Intolerable Acts? Something to cause the countryside to rise up and actively resist? I think it is inevitable.
Secession is the right way. Peacefully withdraw from the union. If the fighting is to start, let them begin it.
This war has just begun, there are so many thing to happen.
We have been expecting this for about a year now and we are ready to fight this conflict in the States!
We got several stages upcoming
1: The legal challenge. Yes I know we cant trust them but honor demands we give the Federal government a Fair chance to right itself in the Federal courts!
2: As Collage and other cost go thou the roof the Students will erupt we must harness that and tell them why so that they may join our cause of liberty!
3: Concurrency our State level nullification and interposition effort now takes on a new priory and realistic meaning. We now only need to implement them with new vigor but with new steal and determination to hold the line with political force and determination!
WE CAN DO THIS! we have the forces, we have the manpower! we have the resources! Our States are made for this kind of fight and we have already been very successful in positioning most of them over the last year to where we are ready for this! We simply have to Finnish what we have started in perpetrating for this fight!
Don’t let the shock of congresses arrogances stun you, we have a lot of work to do and not a lot of time to do it in.
We have Finnish positing ourselves to defend our liberty!
That makes sense about having a condition and THEN getting insurance....but to reject them over it is really cold. Charge more if you have too....but at least them have insurance....
***How do you feel about insurance companies rejecting people with pre-existing conditions?***
You don’t get house insurance after your house catches fire.
You don’t get car insurance after you have a wreck.
You don’t get life insurance on a family member after a their death.
Why should an insurance company give you health insurance after you get sick.
To be fair it quit being insurance a long time ago. It’s now a “health care plan.” Kind of like buying a maintenance plan on your car. Even there they are going to want the car examined first to be sure it looks like it is in reasonable shape, and if it covers oil changes that is going to be priced in.
they would not exist at all if they did not reject people with pre-existing conditions.
so you are asking, is it s good idea that insurance companies exist at all?
And the answer to that question is, it’s none of your business if insurance companies exist. they are volunteer organizations -— no one is forced to either invent them or work in them -— and buying their product is -— orwas -—also volunteer.
Next, you would probably ask, what about people with serious conditions who don’t have health insurance.
There are many many answers to that, as to where people can go and get the surgery or treatment that they need.
No, it’s probably not going to be ‘free’. But no health care is free. Ever. Somebody somewhere has to pay for the salaries and expenses of medical personell, not to speak of hospital janitor services, equipment, etc. etc.
No health care is ever, ever free. Period.
How do you feel about insurance companies rejecting people with pre-existing conditions? I never really thought about that before...but I think thats pretty sh*tty. Its my understanding that they are not "rejected" but put into a special pool of high-risk people, who have to pay a much higher rate (such that it's impractical for someone to pay the premiums) because it's 100% certain (nearly so) that they will have massive claims.
Consider how unfair it is to charge someone who is healthy, a LOT more $$ in order to cover the certainly massive claims of the neighbor who decided to wait (for free) until they got the "pre-existing condition" and then demand the same rate as the low-risk healthy fellow. Essentially insisting that the low-risk healthy fellow pay for the claims of the one who's already sick. Of course, this is EXACTLY what happens under Obamacare. :-/
Please be more specific. I’m not sure what you’re saying now.
I feel badly about it. However, I think it is capitalism and I believe in that. When the government has the power, they won't deny you insurance for your pre existing condition, they will gladly cover your assisted suicide bills.
