Indiana Senate: Ellsworth Trails GOP Hopefuls – Before Health Care Vote
Rasmussen Reports ^ | March 23, 2010 | Staff

Two of the three top Republican hopefuls for the U.S. Senate in Indiana continue to hold double-digit leads over Democratic Congressman Brad Ellsworth. Ellsworth supported President Obama’s health care plan in a state where opposition to the legislation is higher than it is nationally.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in the state finds former Congressman John Hostettler with a 50% to 32% lead over Ellsworth, a current House member who voted with most other Democrats on Sunday to pass the health care plan. The survey was taken last Wednesday and Thursday nights. Fifteen percent (15%) remain undecided in that match-up.

Ex-Senator Dan Coats now posts a 49% to 34% lead over Ellsworth, with 12% undecided.

Ellsworth hasn't got a chance. He forgot to check into how it comes that America's 5th largest state in terms of value added by the medical industry is Indiana ~ right behind Texas, New York, California and Florida ~ all states with vastly larger populations.

The new Obamakkkare taxes will come down hard on Indiana ~ harder than in any other state ~ and will cause high levels of unemployment in Indiana's cutting edge medical industry.

I'm surprised this Ellsworth hasn't been flensed yet, with his meat set out for wild dogs down in Jennings County.

(HISTORY NOTE: He represents both Evansville ~ the home of Senator Hartke, and Terre Haute, the home of Senator Birch Bayh ~ NEITHER of them ever voted against any economic, employment or industrial benefit where Indiana were prime beneficiaries. Apparently the Bayh and Hartke families forgot to tell this puke their secret.)

Obama always said he was going to unite this country. He’s doing it one state at a time, except they’re doing it all at once.

Just saw on television that Michael Jackson’s doctor stopped doing CPR on him to hide all of the drugs surrounding him. Kinda like this whole healthcare process in Congress.

I live in Ellsworth’s district. Someone the other day mentioned that very soon Ellsworth would be an unemployed single-term former Congressman. His only prior job has been in Law Enforcement. Surely to goodness, there is a Sheriff Andy Taylor out there looking for a Barney Fife.
