Washington (CNN) -- President Obama on Tuesday signed into law a sweeping health care reform bill, the nation's most substantial social legislation in four decades, achieving a top priority of his administration.
Greeted by applause from enthusiastic supporters, he said, "Today after almost a century of trying; today, after over a year of debate; today, after all the votes have been tallied, health insurance reform becomes law in the United States of America."
The president said he is confident the Senate will improve the health care reform law swiftly. He said some health care reforms will take some time to phase in, but others will "take effect right away."

Community Organizer at work.
Guess that executive order will just have to wait. LOL
Why? SFNan says this is what the people want - so why is a PR tour necessary?

“Yeh, his campaign tour has worked so well in the past 6 months...NOT!”

Obortion Limbo! How low can you go!
Cut off $600.00 per year to Direct TV today. I told them Obama and Nancy have left me no money for luxuries.
I meant to do this before, but it was a good day for the TV to die.
Basically an admission that he can’t govern, he can only campaign.
I don’t get it - WHY is he going “on the road” AFTER signing the bill. Why bother??
I believe he’s trying to minimize the UPCOMING SLAUGHTER the DemocRATS may face in the 2010 elections. He still believes his own press that he can make people faint at the sound of his “silky” voice and that he can turn crap into candy!
I dont get it - WHY is he going on the road AFTER signing the bill. Why bother??

That’s what I wonder, too.
We are dead broke and he’s going to waste MORE money that we don’t have.
Every time this man farts the US credit card goes up.
Oh, well...I suppose it’s better than working, eh?
I can’t wait until we have a grown-up in office.
Why promote it now!?!?!
If it was so damn good, then why didnt this bastard take the time to outline every frigging provision in it before? That way he wouldn’t have had to bribe people to vote for it, it would have had 88% support and would have passed last summer!
The Intolerable Acts are also known as the Coercive Acts.
They have conveniently attempted to quell their main base, THE COLLEGE STUDENTS, by attempting to appease the effects by “the age 26 rule’, to prevent uprising and, or the “Kent State Effect.” (And also the so called college loan takeover.) One may add to this what they have been indoctrinated with also.
70% of real Americans did not want, AND therefore were NOT REPRESENTED in this so called “bill”.
So we now see the reason for the “COMPLIANCE CRUSADE”, beginning in Iowa, which is an attempt to quell the 70% before the big bureaus kick in. But, Mommy and Daddy in this 70% aren’t buying it and WILL NOT.
By my timeline, we are now in-between The Olive Branch Petitions....(WE HAVE TRIED AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN , on the local levels, on the regional levels, and by great PERSONAL expenditures, personal expenses not paid for by The State Politburo. And now this past weekend another personal attempt Olive Branch Petition right at the steps of the Capital itself, OUR CAPITAL, once again distanced, misstated, or ignored by the arms of the new Federal Politburo.).
So we are somewhere in between “The Olive Branch Petitions” and “The Declaration of Arms”
American CITIZENS, as Thomas Paine would say, WILL NOT, AND CANNOT, SUPPLY THE MEANS IN WHICH THEY WILL THEN BE OPPRESSED.
Well, so long as he’s out gloating on his victory lap he isn’t working on further damage to the Republic.
“He’d have better luck selling $h!t sandwiches outside the White House.”
not even if state troopers flagged down the traffic for him...
