This morning was the first time I have seen security forces, openly displaying automatic weapons, around our politicians. You always see this in Europe but not in this country. Normally they are hidden. They are always there but you hardly ever see them like this. We have come a long way.
Me too. Better a live lame duck, than a dead martyr. Remember what happened after Kennedy....we're still paying for it 40+ years later.
Sad to say, I am not surprised.
We are going to hear a lot more about these type of things. I personally believe it is being done by progressives.
I've a friend who claims the terrorists would do us all a big favor if they would nuke DC during a State of the Union Speech. (For the record he has been saying this since long before Obama was elected)

Yeah, I’ve thought about it and if splitting Iraq into 3 countries is the worst act of a Biden Presidency, I’d vote for him tomorrow.

I think that's where the real corruption is. You can find a handful of good men to represent your interests. It's harder to find an entire logistical infrastructure that's generally dedicated to supporting itself - to listen to what you've got to say.

Obama isn't the only one pushing those things, they've been saving this crap up for years. Democrats DO NOT have individual agendas. They're all about the COLLECTIVE, and march lock-step just like those creepy Russian soldiers used to. They are only allowed to have their own ideas if they advance the power of the collective, (think Soros, Pelosi, Waxman, Alexrod). They have a list just like yours that they're checking things off of.
But,Obama fancies himself as a “serious intellectual” (woohoo, I'm impressed), therefore, they must lead him to where they want him. They know at anytime he considers his “idea” is better than theirs, he could slip the bit and run off. Just like this health care thing. He wanted to let it go for right now, THEY wanted it finished. Who got led? But in the end, make no mistake, they ALL have the same wants.
Biden would would be worse because he would bound along like a puppy after a ball. Biden would be the useful idiot of any number of and probably all evildoers, EVERYWHERE. You're giving OBama and Biden respect for having ENTIRELY too many smarts, and entirely too many individual ideas. If you remember a simple formula Democrat=Disaster, it makes it a lot easier to wade thorough the muck.

Nonsense. Biden has been in the Senate for 30 years and has accomplished virtually nothing. Obama has set our country on a high speed light rail ride to hell in just over a year.
The reason Obama is worse than Biden is because Obama actual believes this stuff - he doesn’t need to be “led” he’s actively greasing the skids to make this stuff happen.
I think you give way too little credit power of the President. Sure, Biden is a buffoon, but he also loves being a glad-handing Pol. I doubt, he would willingly take the country down a swift and radical road to destruction purely because I think he values his “king of the hill status” I think he would be more like a Clinton.
Doesn’t matter anyway, we’re stuck with Obama for now. Hopefully, we’ll be rid of both of them in 2012

That highspeedrail that our country is heading to hell on is the creature of congress. They've had 16 years stewing over 1994, and now they're getting even before we have a chance to kick them to the curb again. They got lucky that so many that voted them in were too young/stupid/notpayingattention to recognize a wolf in sheep's clothing. They hid their intentions well.
Also the fact that Biden has managed to stay in congress for 30 someoddyears without accomplishing anything should prove to you that he's a follower, not a leader. Obama hasn't had the time to become as incompetent as Biden is. Not to mention he needs his mouth washed out with soap when he does speak. Demorats show once more that they have NO CLASS!
