Sen. Scott Brown rips passage of health care bill
The Boston Herald ^ | 03/22/2010 | Joe Dwinell

A disgusted U.S. Sen. Scott Brown urged anyone upset by last night’s historic passage of the $940 billion House health-care overhaul to swarm the Senate with phone calls in a last-ditch effort to block Democratic fixes.

Brown, saying he’s “doing his best” to blunt the sweeping reform, said this morning there’s one last chance to curb a long list of changes tucked into a “reconciliation” bill.

“The way people can get involved is to now call your senators and tell them how you feel,” the Wrentham Republican said on WEEI-AM.

Conservative when it’s convenient, RINO when it’s convenient, and his election did nothing to stop health care.

I wish the media would stop calling the vote last night “historic” as if it were a good thing. It’s not.

the Dems were 110% committed to a cram down here...you could have resurrected Barry Goldwater and won Massachusetts with him, and it would not have made any difference.

No. But, his election did stop the House bill, which was measures worse than the Senate bill. It's tough to lay the blame for this at the feet of a guy who was in the MA state Senate when the coup de grâce was delivered.

I would not put $ on it but I believe the 41 republicans stick together and hold up Barry H’s agenda until November when we get help.

I think the senate republicans (RINO’s included) are pissed.

Hitler's rise to power in Germany was historic. That didn't work out too well.

The killing of millions of Jews by Hitler was “historic” also.

Notice the silence of the msm when the maoists decided to use the 51 vote rule.

They were berserk when President Bush wanted to use that format to get judges confirmed.

I now consider our house and senate to be the worse of slime.

They are beneath contempt, and I will treat them as such.

Everyone else should also.

Do NOT let them be in public ANYWHERE without constant harassment and intimidation.

It’s time to use liberal methods.

Publish their addresses, track their wherabouts, and make them afraid (that’s the right term) to show their sorry Obamabutts in public.

If the Reps had any fortitude they would introduce legislation to overturn this immediately and shut down any Senate action except for military spending and support until the Dems pass the overturn...without 60 votes nothing gets past a filibuster! Let them know NOTHING further will be considered or passed through the Senate until such time that this monstrosity against the will of the American people is taken off the books.
Getting Rino’s to stick together to do this might take some miraculous doing however!

Phone calls are an effective way to vent, but ineffective at the ballot box.

Focus on running GOP candidates who can rout these villans from office. As Laura Ingrham correctly says : “Seat-by-seat annihilation”.

Nothing else is sufficient.

Call... my Aunt Sally’s behind! 100,000 calls AN HOUR did NOTHING. Tens of thousands IN PERSON did NOTHING. FAXING did nothing.

It’s up to YOU now Senator.

his election did nothing to stop health care.

The GOP's idiotic decision to allow Obama into their den to embarrass them, and then again at the "forum" with Obama, gave him renewed momentum and vigor. Then the decision to go forward with ReCon sealed the deal. It is silly to bash Brown.

I hope Senator Brown takes the lead.

The House’s action was an end around his election.

You have to be quick on the draw.
