David Frum’s Satanic Girliemen

FrumForum’s latest attack on me and AlternativeRight, “Richard Spencer’s Nordic Supermen,” is notable in that its author, Alex Knepper, has moved beyond the ho-hum “guilt by association” accusations we’ve come to expect from such people. Earlier he had attempted “guilt by dramatization” and now has tried the exceedingly difficult “guilt by the recounting of an anecdote that reminds the author of the person he’s trying to smear.” Bold! Knepper’s article makes SPLC tactics seem tame and boring in comparison.

Young Alex is a member of, among other organizations, a group entitled “Fuck Christianity,” along with “Fuck Mormonism” (I guess Alex doesn’t share his employer’s enthusiasm for Mitt Romney.) To round it out, he’s also a member of one called “Fuck the Pope,” and just to make sure he’s understood, Alex uploaded of photoshoped image of the pontiff with the head of a duck.

From there it gets worse. Alex apparently supports Eugenics. Moreover, when the mayor of Moscow banned a Gay Pride Parade in his city and called it “Satanic,” Alex announced on his page, “Fuck Yeah Satan.” And Alex’s interest in the Prince of Darkness doesn’t stop there, as he’s actually uploaded a well-known image of Beelzebub for his profile picture.

If this bum Frum thinks he’s the only one who cannot see a belt without hitting below it, he’s got another thing coming. From what I’ve heard, Frum is a climber who fouls everyone and everything that takes him in, with the White House being just one example. This buffoon was fired by the Bushies, then went around threatening to sue if someone hinted that he didn’t quit on his own. (You were fired Frum, and I welcome your lawsuit.) He is a cheap Canadian careerist who jumped on the neocon bandwagon and is now using anti-Semitism as a stick to beat us with. Mind you, to be called “unpatriotic” and an “anti-Semite” by this shameless publicity hound has to be a compliment.

I only met Frum once, at a Conrad Black party, where he came up Uriah-Heep-like, actually looking more like the oily Peter Lorre in “The Maltese Falcon.” I know his kind. He will use anyone—including his wife, which he did in spreading the claim that he invented the phrase “axis of evil”—in order to advance his career. Like his icon Sammy Glick, Frum tries to make it by stepping on bodies, but he will end up like Glick, a marginal fellow who tells tall tales about himself. He reminds me of another David—Brock—both of them being ugly pipsqueaks who specialize in telling without having kissed.

What about this. If illegals get amnesty, one part should be that they do not get the vote until they have gone through the exact same processing and filing and whatever it is that those who are waiting in line, tryng to come here legally, have to do? They already broke in line in front of those people. So it seems reasonable to require the regular legal process for citizenship before giving them a blanket vote. It is only FAIR (the favorite liberal word)! If not that remedy, then what about they can’t vote until all the politicians who voted them in are out of office...you know, just to make it look clean and above board and to assure us that it is not about getting their votes. (Which of course we know it is, but this would make them have to address the issue).

CBS ‘Early Show’ Uses Republican to Call Palin a ‘Huge Mistake’

By Kyle Drennen
Mon, 10/13/2008

On Monday’s CBS Early Show, co-host Harry Smith discussed the presidential campaign with former Bush speech writer David Frum and declared: “There is growing concern among some Republicans about McCain’s campaign. They’re calling on him to stabilize it.” Later in the segment, Smith asked Frum point blank: “Was Sarah Palin a mistake?” Frum replied: “I think Sarah Palin was a huge mistake...Americans can be pretty jokey about their government when times are good, but when times are bad, they want to know do — can you do the job? And when you have a candidate who so obviously has never thought about any of the issues that are going to be important to the next administration and whose knowledge is so shallow, it makes people — it doesn’t just make people offended, it makes them afraid.”

Just prior to asking Frum about Palin, Smith asked: “We’re talking about the Gallup numbers, the Post has Obama up by ten points. Three weeks to go. Is it too late for John McCain to make substantial changes and literally save his campaign?” Part of Frum’s response to that question included: “The McCain campaign right now is running a campaign aimed at getting excited the last — the core 30% of the country that supports the Republican Party, our base, but you don’t win elections on your base. You win elections, but with a broad strategy. And above all, when you run an election like this aimed at your base you risk demoralizing and offending a lot of people who are needed by a Norm Coleman or an Elizabeth Dole.”

Update: Frum’s appearance on the Early Show prompted a discussion between Kathryn Jean Lopez and Mark Levin on National Review Online.

Undoubtedly we have to close the border to prevent further illegal immigration.

All I'm saying is that we conservatives (Republicans) should recognize that something is going to happen.

Instead of fighting tooth and nail and being accused of hating immigrants, we should get out in front of the issue.

We should help those who are here to become decent God-loving conservative citizens before the Left gets them and corrupts them.

We know that in truth the Left really is the party of hate, but they act like they are loving, caring, etc... We should pre-empt the Left with genuine Christian love.

I didn’t read the article ,, but it is my opinion that blind allegiance to whomever the RNC nominates or backs ,, MOST OF THEM RINO’s , got us to this point and Rush has always been front and center applauding and cheering their candidates on even though in the long run it has given us a 95% Socialist Marxist Congress , so many of our representatives are far lefties they would feel just as comfortable with a (D) after their name .

No more RINO’s ,, if you’re not conservative you don’t get my vote.

"There were leaders who knew better, who would have liked to deal. But they were trapped. Conservative talkers on Fox and talk radio had whipped the Republican voting base into such a frenzy that deal-making was rendered impossible. How do you negotiate with somebody who wants to murder your grandmother? Or – more exactly – with somebody whom your voters have been persuaded to believe wants to murder their grandmother? I’ve been on a soapbox for months now about the harm that our overheated talk is doing to us. Yes it mobilizes supporters – but by mobilizing them with hysterical accusations and pseudo-information, overheated talk has made it impossible for representatives to represent and elected leaders to lead. The real leaders are on TV and radio, and they have very different imperatives from people in government. Talk radio thrives on confrontation and recrimination. When Rush Limbaugh said that he wanted President Obama to fail, he was intelligently explaining his own interests. What he omitted to say – but what is equally true – is that he also wants Republicans to fail. If Republicans succeed – if they govern successfully in office and negotiate attractive compromises out of office – Rush’s listeners get less angry. And if they are less angry, they listen to the radio less, and hear fewer ads for Sleepnumber beds. "

Ah a Bob Michael, Bob Dole, and John McCain Republican, we can make deals with them. Little does Mr. Frum realize we are dealing with a different animal here.

His animosity to talk radio and Fox? He can't control the message which screams of "issues" but he discounts us greatly. How many of us here have read links from Heritage, Besty McCaughey, and Various Doctors that highlighted the awful things in this bill and no one in the dominant media got into them and all they talked about was left and right and process. We may be in fact more informed than Mr. Frum. What is more interesting is his distane for Rush. Frum is of the ilk that cannot stand Sarah Palin and Rush and this distain is Cultural. Rush like Sarah has not gone to the right schools, do not attend the right parties, and smell of the great unwashed the Blue-Blood Republicans cannot stand. Their is no cure for Mr. Frum and if he is single perhaps he could hook up with Peggy Noonan. In the mean time We here on FR and the tea parties etc. talk to people quietly and try to wake them up and see that true liberty is about to be lost and that we as a nation are on the cusp of financial ruin. He cannot see any of this through his country club republican sun-glasses. Our talk is working and we will change the RNC or we will leave it. They are listening to us "David" and what we speak of the the founding fathers not you, and that is what I think he can't stand.

How is losing by 6 votes and by passing by breaking constitutional rules a "crushing" defeat?

My best guess is near 65% of this country did not want this turd. Consequences may be swift, and in unexpected ways.

I'll go one step deeper...

The GOP IS to blame for where we are today... when you run candidates like J McCain and O. Snowe what do you expect to happen eventually?

I have to strongly disagree with the view that republicans should have met somewhere in the middle on this bill to somehow make it suck a little less though.

I'm hopeful some things can be done in the future to minimize the effects of this blunder, but on some accounts, he is right. This will likely never be repealed unless it can be deemed illegal or not legitimate in some way.

Some changes are in order as far as parliamentary procedure and rules go, I hope the GOP remembers this when the opportunity comes. But I suspect, as in the past, they won't limit their own runaway's in the name of making things better.

We were taught certain things about congress in school, we were taught the system has enough checks and balances to protect us from tyranny, our system was the best. The past year has shown us that there are serious flaws when 2/3 of Americans are irate about a bill that managed to pass on technicalities rather than follow the direction and will of the real owners of this country. I will add, we are no longer the owners of this country. If we were, this could have never happened. The only recourse now is an uprising to physically remove these tyrants from office. We aren't even close, far too many people are far too willing to allow this to go on in the name of winning, nothing else. Just take a look at the entire premise today... "historic", it's all about winning, not what is best. Look over at the DUmmies... they are so busy lavishing in a republican loss, they consider the ill effect of the bill secondary and worth it all.

Honest to God, this was a bigger loss than the 08 election for us. Today I feel our country is lost and quite possibly edged over to the point of no return to the greatness we once were.

The economy is unlikely to improve especially since this bill passed. He is also wrong about the repeal. Frum is the problem. Even if it takes a revolution we will undue this and break the chains of big government the time is now.

According to Frum, Republicans should have bargained their way into Obama’s wonderful new socialist society. Because socialism lite would be better than suffering an ignominious defeat for standing up to the March of Socialism. I’m glad Frum is no longer a major voice for conservatives...if he ever was one.

You do realize that if Frum blamed ML/NJ, nobody would have noticed or cared. A lot of marginal players in the MSM seem to be adopting the tactic of saying something completely outrageous about Rush with the hope of getting a mention on his show.

ML/NJ
