A small mystery surrounding the current whip count for the final health-care vote was solved in the last hour -- sort of.
After missing all of Saturday's roll calls, Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif) showed up for the procedural votes that began Sunday's House session. So now party leaders -- and the media -- know where Sanchez is. But they still don't know how she'll vote tonight.

The outcome of any vote by Congress on health care is irrelevant since Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care! Therefore the so called legislation on its face is Unconstitutional! The people are not bound to comply with an Unconstitutional act of Congress! This is a power regulated to the states per the 10th Amendment!
It is the reason why Idaho and Virginia have passed legislation blocking federal health care from being illegally imposed on the citizens of those states by reasserting their 10th Amendment rights and 34 other states considering similar legislation! This is the point people need to hammer home with their Congress critters!

Is this a way for the dems to cheat? If a few don’t show up does it redcue the # need for a majority? Maybe they think they can pass it with only 213 or 214 if a few folks stay away.

I never ever thought she would be a question mark. She has a strong liberal record that she can’t hide from.

Apparently she showed for a procedural vote meaning she has voted present, right?

I spoke with her office. I live local to her. They aren’t sure how she’ll vote.
Urged her to vote NO because it doesn’t do enough for illegals. LOL
To: Perdogg
She has already said that she is voting yes.

"I call b.s. on all of this undecided drama."
I agree, all this play-by-play stuff by the msm is all about ratings. My guess is that it passes with ~220. But down the road as the details come out about whats in it and the fact that taxes go up now, it will become very unpopular. Just look at the marriage penalty in this thing, it's astounding.

And your solution?
Continue to hammer away at Congress as I stated in my previous post. Also contact your governor and state legislatures demanding they obey the U.S. Constitution if they haven't already passed legislation. Do not participate in this unconstitutional, socialist health care Congress shove it through. Shutdown Congress among other acts of civil disobedience!

I suspect Sanchez will vote "yes" when it all comes down to brass tacks.
I think she's enjoying the attention.
I hope I'm wrong. I would love to be wrong.
