It looks like you folks did a good job! :-)
It’s always been about the Stupak group. Tanner’s vote is irrelevant now.
“There is no question our health care system needs reform.”
****
Um...no. Not unless you are willing to come up with some meaningful tort reform and/or laws allowing insurance companies to do business in all states. Anything else — we don’t need or want.
I really hope this is TRUE!
It does need reform, but this is not the bill we need.
If Stupak holds firm this is over. The RNC should be on the phone to him and promise him any position he wants once they take back the WH in 2012. Cabinet? Ambassadorship? Chairmanship? Whatever he wants.
On a side note, was there a lot of opposition on FR to the Prescription Drug plan of Bush’s? How come all these Republicans concerned about spending voted for that?
Anyone who waited this long to announce yes or no is someone who would have voted “yes” if they needed him.
I think Pelosi released him.
This is a setback for the ‘Rat leadership, as Tanner is retiring and doesn’t have to worry about reelection.
Unlike Bart Gordon, Tanner decided he likes the perks of Washington and wishes to be at the buffet line a bit longer.
“I think Pelosi released him.”
To do that, wouldn’t she have had to release the rest of Stupak’s band? Surely, they don’t have the votes if all of them remain a “no” on the vote.
Tanner was not part of Stupak’s band. He had voted no in November on Obamacare.
I think we did, the interview with DR. Cannon was the best, not only is he a primary care doctor, he’s a minority. He’s the head of Tipton Co. GOP.
Unemployment is effectively 20% with the 46% of doctors retiring/quitting all those secretaries, nurses and NP’s are going to be with out jobs, driving the unemployment rate up even higher. And with the importing of MORE illegals it’s gonna get higher than under Hoover...25%.
My question is can 0 CONSCRIPT the doctors and force them to practice under some EO?
He is retiring so has nothing to fear from witch Pelosi...
I agree. We’re not just talking about Stupak’s vote here.
My mistake Tanner retiring too. Guess he didn’t shine to being under the heel of the Wicked Witch of the West.
Yesterday, he was a “yes”. I wonder what happened.
No it it NOT GOOD! Those coming out now to state their opposition are doing so with the full assurance that they will not be punished by Her Majesty Pelosi. At the last minute lots of no votes is an indication of passage regardless!
There are punishments worse than Nancy, especially if they can vote Nancy out of her speakerhood.
