When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi calls for consideration of the Senate version of Obamacare sometime early this afternoon, it won't be under the now-infamous "deem and pass" procedure, but rather a highly restrictive "Supermax" rule that stifles debate and limits the minority's right to offer amendments.

The outcome of any vote by Congress on health care is irrelevant since Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care! Therefore the so called legislation on its face is Unconstitutional! The people are not bound to comply with an Unconstitutional act of Congress! This is a power regulated to the states per the 10th Amendment!

It is the reason why Idaho and Virginia have passed legislation blocking federal health care from being illegally imposed on the citizens of those states by reasserting their 10th Amendment rights and 34 other states considering similar legislation! This is the point people need to hammer home with their Congress critters!

If it were a republican saying that they are making up the rules as they go this would be front page news on every paper and the opening story on every news broadcast.

The problem in the US is rooted in a corrupt press...which facilitates corrupt politicians. Until the press is reformed I question how solid, long term improvement there can be with politicians.

Don’t take this the wrong way. I see you post this quite a bit and I actually agree. We have debated about the courts and this before. I just want to know how you see this playing out... if they pass it? Do you think the courts will overturn it or do you think it will take “We the People” rising up in civil disobedience... or something else?

“Even without the Slaughter Solution, this rule is an affront to the democratic process. Rather than living up to their promises of transparency and accountability, the Democratic Majority is now openly flouting them. By severely limiting debate and protecting the backroom deals that have so angered the American people, the Majority has demonstrated their top priority remains forcing through their government takeover of our healthcare system at all costs.”

The rule sets up following votes today, which House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said would most likely be taken between 1 and 2 pm this afternoon: The first vote will be on the Supermax rule itself; the vote will be on the Senate version of Obamacare, including the special deals like the Cornhusker Kickback, Louisiana Purchase, Gator Aid and the Cadillac Tax, the vote will be on a motion to recommit on the “sidecar” reconciliation package that contains changes in the Senate bill sought by the House, and the fourth and final taly will be on sidecar measure.

Dreier said the net effect of this rule will be the same as “deem and pass. “If this rule and the bills it provides consideration for pass tomorrow, the American people will be stuck with every pig in the poke that is Senate-passed bill. It will be law. The fixes will not be. Members can try to argue they only supported the Senate bill in a fixed form, but the American people won’t buy it.”

The Senate ain't going to roll over and play dead, they're going to makes changes. Then its back to the House for more infighting by the Rats.

The latter. The people are the government, not Congress, not the White House and not SCOTUS. The people have the final say as to how they will be governed. Our founding fathers not only understood this concept but initiated it as evident by the following passage in the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Another Very Good Republican.

There have been so many, standing up and fighting MengeleCare.

Anyone who clings to the old idea that "there's no difference between the parties" is, in my book, a democrat operative.

Remember, when someone says "vote conservative no matter what party" and neglects to notice that EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT in the Senate voted for MengeleCare and EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN in the Senate voted against it, that someone is probably a democrat operative.

For me, this formula works: Vote for the most conservative in the R primary and then vote for the R in the general.

People pushing 3rd parties are democrat operatives.

The State-run media is disgusting — they are in the tank for this guy Obama and the RAT Party. The real problem is going to be for us to vote out these guys in November. State-run media will, I am positive, be on a dedicated mission to make whomever is running against an incumbent RAT a loser and a bad choice. They will do in-depth reports on anything they can find on the person running against the incumbent. They, the press, are one of the big reasons our country is in this mess. Their graduates come from the likes of Columbia University; an ultra liberal school.

I would doubt more than 1 in 500 or even perhaps 1,000 is aware of the details of this rule. All they know is what the MSM wants them to know

While I agree with you regarding the press and the media, wholeheartedly, other than boycott, tell me how to “reform” them, PLEASE!!!!

I have the feeling come monday America may see a new map of the USA.

Instead of red/blue states we will see states with a crosshatch pattern of either being Pro or Against Obamacare.

Or seceded states.
