They cannot change the Senate bill. If the 15 members of the moderate New Democrat Coalition vote for this bill, it shows they have no good intent on provisions that would change how providers are reimbursed so that it is based on quality of care, instead of volume of care.
I believe Rep Kind and his 15 fellow moderate New Democrat Coalition have some explaining to do

Ping to this Rep Kind and his 15 members of the moderate New Democrat Coalition
^
I’ll believe these Reps may have to be swayed, but we all know they can’t change the Senate bill

The latest bill contains Senate language that several Democrats said doesn’t do enough to overcome geographic disparities in Medicare reimbursements.
“We need to make sure providers are reimbursed more on value than volume,” said Rep. Ron Kind, D-Wis., who’s undecided how he’ll vote. Kind was one of 15 angry Democrats who met with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Thursday about the issue.

House Democratic leaders were working to head off a possible revolt among 15 lawmakers upset that House-passed increases in Medicare reimbursements for local hospitals were removed from the legislation.
The latest bill contains Senate language that several Democrats said doesn’t do enough to overcome geographic disparities in Medicare reimbursements.
“We need to make sure providers are reimbursed more on value than volume,” said Rep. Ron Kind, D-Wis., who’s undecided on how he’ll vote Sunday.

I thought they were voting on the Senate bill tomorrow? What is there to talk about. Once it passes (if, I guess) ain’t nobody in the administration going to willingly revisit it.

Better "health outcomes " does not necessarily mean better health or better care. It all depends on what the "Desired Outcome" is.

Yes, that’s their problem;
We need to make sure providers are reimbursed more on value than volume, said Rep. Ron Kind, D-Wis
^
It’s not in the Senate bill, Americans will be herded like cattle to make up for the ‘volume’, for reimbursements. Coming soon, to a hospital near you, thanks CONgress!

Exactly. It’s truly amazing that something this important in being decided on a partison basis and on so narrow a win or lose. Blows the mind.
To: Son House
Well they can certainly vote against it can’t they? Gees these clowns need to be shown the door, along with Obama. I hope they’re not expecting the he’s going to fix it after they vote yes.

Yep a “Better Health Outcome” as determined by the Comparative Effectiveness Panel and the Gov. Oversight Administrator in Charge of Cost Reductions could determine that a “Better Health Outcome” for you would be you assuming the horizontal position at room temperature.

Got another one of them too;
Walz(D-Mn) Inclined To Vote for Health Reform Bill(Mayo Clinic wants Payment Reform Language)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2475626/posts
Mayo Clinic has been pushing for provisions that would change how providers are reimbursed so that it is based on quality of care instead of volume of care.
Under the Senate bill, the payment reform provisions only apply to providers. He said Mayo Clinic wants to see that expanded to include hospitals, which was included in the House bill.

Their both going to have to vote NO, or we’ll all know they don’t care about quality over quantity, they can’t change the Senate bill

Ron Kind is Nancy Pelosi’s puppet. Don’t count on him to do anything against “the Party”. He’s a great talker, but it’s because he practices daily by using both sides of his mouth.

Such wonderful little socialists, worming their way in ever closer to the federal feeding trough.

The big clinics have dirty hands in this deal. Quality is subjective. Quantity is countable. They want 30 million new patients and an open US Treasury checkbook to pay for it. THIS is why this bill must fail. Pork. Pork. Pork. And borrow it all from the Chinese!

AS a physician all this talk of pay for quality instead of quantity is a bunch of Bullstuff. This just mean we will be following a .gov cook book of regulations and forms to prove we did quality. It will take more time and effort to get paid. If we do not follow orders by dotting every i then they will save money by not paying us. This kind of stuff drives me crazy. I have to justify by more paper work and getting the magical words in my dictation and the correct words on the lab slip or toooooo bad they will deny the payment. This is nothing but .gov ploy to not pay after the services have been rendered.
