YOU need CoQ10!!!
YES...what you said....PLUS ANY reputable doc should be talking about ratio’s also (HDL, LDL, etc)....total cholesterol means NOTHING - unless it’s ourtrageously high, of course.... also, it may be worth it for some here to get the VAP cholesterol test...gives more info....shouldn’t cost any more than a regular test.
This has been well documented. I have been taking it and Lipitor for over 10 years with no ill effects. The only side effect I think I might have had is weird dreams but I can’t prove it. My cholesterol had declined to very good levels.
Hey what is CoQ10? Also that vitamin d dose seems a little high. I take 1000iu, think I should take more. I’m on 80MG of Lipitor, and have bad heart. I enjoy bacon on most of my foods, but I have had to cut back.
CoQ10 is Ubiquinol...there are different (and lesser quality) versions.....I use Jarrow’s QH Absorb....The Vitamin D3 recommendation is NOT too high....unless you are allergic to it...or sunbathe everyday in a swim suit at high noon. Read this....http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/
You really should have 2 tests...
the VAP Cholesterol test and...
A Vit D test called...25-hydroxyvitamin D test.
(Adjust your dosage so that blood levels are between 5080 ng/mL (or 125200 nM/L) year-round) according to doctors in the know!
And...I believe Total Cholesterol being used as a measurement for prescribing statins is BUNK
bump for later
My doctor had me on 80mg vytorin (zocor and zetia) (one reason for the combination was that the patent on zocor expired, but the combination would start a new patent). My cholesterol was about 90. I woke up one morning and could not walk. Finally diagnosed with statin induced myopathy (muscle damage). My quads were basically paralyzed and without your quads you cannot do much with your legs. The paralysis lasted about 3 months. Did a lot of reading and really got my eyes opened about cholesterol and statins. The studies and the reporting on the studies is misleading. I think that statins may just be one of the greatest marketing jobs right up there with cigarettes in the 50’s, bottled water and $5 coffee. Anyway there are a lot of very serious questions to be answered about cholesterol and statins.
I am a vet and the V.A. due to a heart attack and stint placement had me on 2 blood pressure meds and high statins.
after reading about the long term side effects of my meds I began taking 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper twice a day and dropped my meds. My last checkup had my blood pressure excelent and my cholesterol normal.
take the time to read about the health benefits of cayenne, I feel great and am off most of my meds
google it.
peripheral neuropathy.
something kills off the myelin sheath (insulation) of the peripheral, or endings of ones nerves usually in the extremeties....hands feet arms legs... causing the nerves to fire when they are not suppose to causing pain, burning, pressure.
it can be caused by various things...mine is an auto immune disorder.
I did that and my number is 46.3 what does that mean?
Ping for follow up
