Ten reasons the health care reform bill should not pass.

The health care reform bill is scheduled for a vote tomorrow. All indications are that the bill will pass. There are hundreds of reasons this is a bad bill and will destroy the lives of many Americans. I am attempting to expose just a few of the most egregious.

The bottom line is this, and it is not debatable.

There is simply no rational way for this bill to work. It cannot logically lower costs, and it cannot exist without lowering the quality of health care. The person who tells you otherwise is dishonest, or foolish. The math simply does not work.

Nice summary. I watched CNN a wee bit this afternoon and the spirit of “it’s not so bad” came over me. Thanks for bringing me back to truth and reality!

PROOF THAT OBAMACARE/ROMNEYCARE IS A PROVEN FINANCIAL FAILURE

======================================================
======================================================

Mass. State Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill (I): RomneyCARE
is bankrupting Massachusetts and will do the same nationally.

"Romney admitted ... that about half of the real costs of "extending
coverage to the uninsured... is covered by federal tax dollars.

Mr. Romney's RomneyCARE is doing what entitlements do: crowding
out private insurers, compounding the cost explosion, walking the state toward rationing.

From CATO (the whole article is worthwhile): "Of the 133,000 people who have signed up for insurance since the plan was
implemented, slightly more than half have received totally free coverage."

has made health insurance unaffordable in Massachusetts.

" Rationing medicine has already begun
… government-
run health care has introduced rationing and waiting lists and cost the lives of the people under its provisions."

"DEATH PANELS OPEN FOR BUSINESS IN MASSACHUSETTS"

"President Obama's newly confirmed regulatory czar defended the
possibility of removing organs from terminally ill patients without their permission."

"You can't reap these savings without limiting patients' choices in some way," said Paul Levy, CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess."

"Romney Visits Nebraska, Talks Health Care [where he defends Romneycare] "

"Paying the Health Tax in Massachusetts [Romneycare]
Unless we ponied up for a pricier policy we
neither need nor want-or enrolled in a government-sponsored insurance plan-we
would have to pay $1,000 each year to the state.
How did we become outlaws?"

selling his ghostwritten book, helping Gore push the fraud of climate change,

From an email today.

Let me get this straight.
We're trying to pass a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it.
Passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it.
To be signed by a president that also hasn't read it and who smokes.
With funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes.
All to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese.
And financed by a country that's broke. What the hell could possibly go wrong????

Obama said, “Don’t do it for me, Don’t do it for Nancy Pelosi.. Do it for the American people.” But.. Aren’t the American people AGAINST it? Hmmm.. So, it looks like it REALLY is about Obama himself because WE sure as hell don’t want it.

As a conservative Canadian observer, I can’t help shake the feeling that your government wouldn’t waste its time voting if the bill wasn’t going to pass. In that light, it’s a fait accompli, as they say in French. Seems to me you are about to acquire the world’s largest and most expensive socialist bureaucracy. Welcome to the sad and sorry club. Take it from me, you’ll soon learn to ignore government squandering, intrusion and taxes at the 50% mark, and still keep your blood pressure at acceptable levels ....as the numbness of oppression slowly seeps in. Well done, to those who fought...shame on those too stupid to know or care.

Great article. One thing mentioned was "supply." There was a piece on FR about how nurses are overworked and are quitting the profession after 5 years. In my town there is a community college and a university. Both set limits on the number of people admitted to the nursing programs. If you factor the limited number of new nurses, figure that a certain number are going to quit when to raise families, another number are going to get sick of the administrative BS, patient overload, & lack of resources and quit, the supply will drop really fast. Same with doctors. The Central Valley of California has a shortage of drs., especially specialists, and there has been a push at the educational level to increase those numbers, but who wants to come to work in a place where a good chunk of your clientel are illegals, who won't pay you, and what you get from the gvt. is peanuts?

Congress, of course, will be exempt.....ba$tards.
