UPDATE: A senior House Source confirms to Fox News that "deem and pass is dead"

Developing..

Fox News has learned that House Democrats are considering dropping a controversial parliamentary ploy to pass the Senate's version of the health care bill before the House begins on a second "fix-it" resolution, known as reconciliation.

Senior House Democratic sources indicate that there is an ongoing discussion about dropping what's billed a "deem and pass" strategy. Democrats have signaled for days that they would probably use a procedural two-step to get the House to approve the Senate’s health care measure.

Yes, that’s the only reason they would say that... they have enough votes.

No. It means they’re in complete chaos.

This thing could still collapse under it’s own weight.

They don’t have the votes. Demon Pass was put out there as a trial balloon. But Dems got a whiff of all the lawsuits that would have rained down on them and SCOTUS shooting it down. They’re left trying to scrounge up votes again.

First of all, as a senator, Obama was one of the few supporters of the law to allow “failed” abortions, meaning if the late term child actually accidentally poped out before it could be killed, the “physician” could just sit the live child aside and let it die of exposure.

He is an EXTREME pro abortion bastard, he will never follow through on this.

Everyone “forgot” this during the election in 2008,

since all the newspapers and all the tv channels covered for him, and for his God Damn America best friend ...

He really is disgusting and skilled at hiding who he really is

When I told a few people they couldn’t believe it, or me.

He is one of the VERY VERY few to support this born alive let em die crap and he did it TWICE.

It doesn't mean they have the votes. reports from the rules committee today is that the dem’s are in disaray and several yes votes on the committeee have said they are a no if it comes to passing this with pass and deem.

Any bets on the reason why they're considering dropping it?

1. Levin's lawsuit threat has them scared that they might lose it in the courts?

2. They have enough to pass it without any procedural hijinks?

3. They have enough to pass it only if they split it - they have 216 for the Senate bill and 216 for the "fixes", but not 216 for both together?

4. This whole thing today is just a feint to drag us off the trail?

Am I the only one who feels like I'm sitting on a hill watching his house, business and everything he holds dear being flooded and destroyed with nothing to do to stop it?

If they had the votes for deem and pass, they’d deem and pass. This is good for us.

I think they have the votes. Stupak will cave or already has. And if there’s a way they can get it passed without going back to the senate and get this thing to Islamabama’s desk they’ll do it. That means the republican senators won’t have the chance to hold it up.

They want to destroy this nation. SOS Albright under Clinton said it was wrong for the U.S. to be the only superpower.

I still believe something will happen before the November elections and martial law will be declared and the elections will be suspended. This guy wants to be ruler of the world. Was it pre-ordained that he would be?
