Good God I hate the Rats!
Treason
Hmmm, just read over at NRO corner blog that “Waxman has stepped into it” and said WE WON’T DEEM AND PASS THE SENATE BILL, WE WILL PASS THE SENATE BILL. Wonder what the heck that’s all about.
Seriously sick and quite a perversion of our democracy in action.
Totally creepy.
But it won't happen.
America -- a great idea, didn't last.
If they get 216 votes doesnt that pass? No demon pass. Demon pass only if they cant get votes, right? slightly still confused but getting there
Does anybody NOT believe this is held on Sunday...so that come Monday morning...Obama will have changed the locks on the Supreme Court...and no one will enter.....
I took that to mean that he thinks he can pass the senate bill. Good luck. I’m not sure they can now. If they could, it’s possible they would have voted. But it’s also possible that 5-6 Dems are holding out for the sweetest deals possible.
When they are finished with their break (to vote on unrelated bill) they will be back here, streaming: http://www.c-span.org/Watch/C-SPAN2.aspx
Either way, there will be follow up action. The lawsuits from states are knocking on the front door. Just watching some of the people on TV gives me great hope as there are so many of us that simply won’t go along with this and will not accept it. The will of the American people will will in the end.
Paging Mark Levin . . . please pick up the white courtesy phone ....
It bears repeating — What would the reaction of these Democrats be, if George Bush had used parliamentary trickery to pass some favored Republican legislation, over objections of all Democrats and some Republicans? What would their reaction have been? I think we all know.
And, why are these Democrats eager to engage in this chicanery? On some issues, we’re lectured that we as Americans have to live up to our highest ideals, and follow due process in what our government does.
But overall, we’re lectured by the liberals that we need to live up to our own standards, and follow our own legal procedures.
But in this case, they feel free to throw those established procedures out the window.
My reaction — They want conservatives to live up to our highest ideals and the letter of the law in all cases. But for themselves, they reserve the right to do whatever the he___ they want, as long as it’s in support of a liberal cause.
So, we have established rules and procedures, except for what will happen in support of liberal causes. For the liberal cause of the day, it’s “by any means necessary”.
No, IMO. The 216 is to get to deem and pass.
Lord..Congress and the executive branch are out of control...I sent emails/called to all my reps ...including a statement that it seems they aren’t listening to us. WT(f)?!? Really doesn’t feel like my America any more...this is really tough. If we make it to November, the Dems will hear, but there is still something going on in the background that is out of control.... God help us please!!!
They even have some of the MSM saying DO NOT SLAUGHTER RULE this... Fairly major people too.
“America — a great idea, didn’t last.”
I guess Obama will go down in history as the man who brought down the greatest country on earth...
I hope all those who voted for him are realizing what they have done.
Friend, I thinks it’s more like they are starting to look into the abyss now they are on the presipice of and/or wondering if this deem, pass, and split will get by the courts. What is the most delicious of ironies to me is the Stupak group, which they basically told to f themselves may deep-six this monster.
Pray hard people, and call, email and if you’re in DC YELL YOUR FREAKING HEAD OFF.
I am pretty sure Bush did use deem and pass. It isn’t that uncommon.
It is a weird way to vote, but in this case it means voting that you pass the senate bill and the house bill fix in one vote. That way you don’t have to vote once for the cornhusker kickback and then to cut it off in another, where your opponent can then say “he voted for a kickback to Nebraska”.
