I have a daughter who's a member of the NEA. My Dad died a couple of months ago, and she KNOWS how close we were........anyway. She walked through the room while I was on the phone tonight, right after this thing passed, to hear me say, "I'm GLAD my Dad died...he got the care he needed".
She kept walking. Not a word said. THAT hit her, I know it did.
I didn't say it to be mean, I MEANT it...I AM glad he got what he needed, and I AM glad he's in Heaven!
Wow, I feel for you. Prayers up.
You are right, because I can tell you FIRST HAND, that the elderly won’t get proper treatment. I have seen it with my own eyes. I was an RN years ago and the care here was wonderful. Today, it is absolutely disgusting and awful. The healthcare workers, in their defense, have no support. They dont have a lot to work with and they are totally overloaded with patients. The ambulances are lined up at the emergency waiting their turn, the beds are full, the hallways are full. It’s disgusting. As a former RN, I am shocked at what I see in hospital now, absolutely shocked. However, I am not blaming the healthcare workers. They are doing the best with what they have to work with. You don’t want to go this way. CO
