We've been baited. And here's the switch, from a Washington Post news alert:
House Democratic leaders say they will take a separate vote on the Senate health care bill, rejecting an earlier, much-criticized strategy that would have permitted them to "deem" the measure passed without an explicit vote.
The Hill has more:
Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) said that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) won't use the tactic of deem and pass for healthcare reform.
Instead there will be two separate votes, one on the Senate bill and one on the reconciliation bill.
Engel said that Pelosi told a whip meeting Saturday that members should be proud of their "yes" vote because it is as historic as the social security vote.
This is good news for the Constitution and transparency in government. I'm not sure if its good news for defeating Obamacare. Also, Rep Virginia Foxx says that the Manager's Amendment has just been provided to the GOP.
If anyone didn’t think that is was high time to disband the illegal irs before now, maybe they will get the message now!
I’m e-mailing Fox News and trying to get them to find the video clips where President Obama promised that he wouldn’t sign any bill into law that isn’t budget nuetral. We all know that, despite the fuzzy math, this one is far from it. CBO says the “doctor fix” will put the plan 59 billion in the red in ten years. We will witness presidential lie number.....? I’ve lost count.
Me too. The tyrant's rule effectively ends in seven months. I hope the Rs stomp on his political grave.
In 2013, Palin will overturn this thing, and the Dems will be out of power for the next ten years.
Deem this regime to hell.
FUNP
Running out of Ms. Clairol in the Whitehouse apparently.
All that thieving and lying takes it out on a fella.
I believe the lawsuits will challenge the constitutionality of the Federal govt “mandating” we MUST purchase a product/service.
Beautiful!

Thanks for sharing. Patrick McHeny, you make the people of Avery County proud. Never Give UP!
new tagline
I have yet to hear Fox or any MSM talk about Ryan and his CBO score about how n0bamaCARE will increase the deficit.
Anyone?
Go Ryan, Go Camp.
You wanna roll up your spotless white sleeves and poke your finger at us, huh?
Trying to make something a right which is not is akin to trying to break a law of physics. The outcome is sure to be bad.
Dave Camp is doing a masterful job of breaking it down. Some of the highlights:
IRS agents verify if you have acceptable health care coverage;
IRS has the authority to fine you up to $2,250 or 2 percent of your income (whichever is greater) for failure to prove that you have purchased minimum essential coverage;
IRS can confiscate your tax refund;
IRS audits are likely to increase;
IRS will need up to $10 billion to administer the new health care program this decade;
IRS may need to hire as many as 16,500 additional auditors, agents and other employees to investigate and collect billions in new taxes from Americans; and
Nearly half of all these new individual mandate taxes will be paid by Americans earning less than 300 percent of poverty ($66,150 for a family of four.)
IRS budget would have to grow by 10 billion and that is NOT included in the CBO estimate.
A full copy of Rep Camp's report on the IRS can be found here.
Cost of IRS additional workers alone to enforce Healthcare is $10 BILLION PER YEAR, there will costs for all of the other bureacrats to run healthcare and none of it is in the cost of the bill.
It could mean that she doesn’t have the votes or that when Cardoza said he would not vote for deem and pass, she realized she couldn’t go down that path.
