It sickens me that 60 democrat senaotrs plus 216 democrat representatives can overthrow our Republic without firing a shot.
276 traitors to our Constitution.
Good morning, precious you!
I think everyone who voiced an opinion wanted to stay with this one, but you’re the boss lady!
Good morning, dearest you!
Thank you for the most appropriate prayer!
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!!!
Alaska would be the perfect Israel in many respects. Considerably colder though, but we have that unique position of being literally “far and away” to discourage illegal immigrants, our neighbor is of course Canada but that part of Canada is even more sparsely populated.
Much to the dismay of my many family members still living in the lower 48 I adamantly refuse to leave here even for travel, my last vacation outside was in 2004, its just too complicated and unsure outside this state.
Sure we have our issues, but we handle them WITHOUT federal interaction. Not many live up here on welfare, some do of course but a very very small fraction, we are used to seasonal work, my job is usually only 8 months a year, matter of fact I have been off work just staying at home since dec. 12th, I go back to work monday driving a concrete mixer.
Financially its a squeeze but from mistakes learned I set aside money in the fall to get me every winter, just like this one, we all do. Alaska isn’t the best place to live for most but to some its the best place to be when the rest of the country is tearing itself apart.
It’s fine with me either way- I sent a freepmail to admin asking to add Sunday to the title and here is a rough schedule of today’s events:
2 p.m.: The House will debate for one hour the rules of debate for the reconciliation bill and the Senate bill.
3 p.m.: The House will vote to end debate and vote on the rules of the debate.
3:15 p.m.: The House will debate the reconciliation package for two hours.
5:15 p.m.: The House will vote on the reconciliation package.
5:30 p.m.: The House will debate for 15 minutes on a Republican substitute and then vote on the substitute.
6 p.m.: The House will vote on the final reconciliation package.
6:15 p.m.: If the reconciliation bill passes, the House will immediately vote on the Senate bill, without debate.

For archival purposes it would be better to have a new thread, however - we’ve kept this thread going all night and it’s still bumped on the front page. It’s also the thread people will look to when they wake for updates.
It’s probably better to ask a Mod to update the title and continue with this one.

Excellent. Thank you for the schedule.
caww is posting the following on a number of threads and sent me the following:
ATTENTION....11:00 MEETING AT THE ROTUNDA
For the first time in over 100 years...the purpose of this meeting is Republicans will be praying there....Demonstrators were also invited...and any democrates who want to come.
If you arent going to church maybe we should also pray with them at this time....I suspect it will be a moving moment in our History since God is the God of all History.
It remains all about the Marxist.
LOL. I like your two cents.
Only if we let them, only if we let them.......
Yes, they are traitors - only a few shorts years ago I would have thought someone crazy if they believed our government would declare war on the citizens of this nation, yet that is exactly what they have done.
Traitors all.
I’ll tell you another thing I’m livid about: the smiling that goes on when talking about the votes or the subject itself.
It’s not a smiling matter.
I have literally begged my husband for years to move to Alaska. His only reason for refusing is the cold.
He’s originally from E. Texas and grew up in a very small town with the exact type of people you describe. He’d prefer to move back there - to me it’s WAY too hot!!!
I kid him I’ll just move to Alaska and he can come visit during the summer :-)
Ok- I agree.
Just in case Admin didn’t get my freepmail- will you please add AND SUNDAY to the title and add Sunday’s schedule to the original text?
Thanks for the schedule - looks like I can make 9:45 Mass, throw in a hour or so nap before the fireworks begin - it’s going to be a VERY long day....
I want this abomination to be stopped, here, before all of the suffering and trouble you speak of. I know you do as well.
The points you made are likely to occur in some form and to some degree. And you didn’t even list the Senate Republican challenge to reconciliation being attempted in the Senate. I am also familiar with some of the plans you did list, for where to go from here.
I know this is a type of warfare, and these are but skirmishes/battles along the way.
I would only emphasize that it needs to be stopped before all of that has to kick in. Because the results of it passing and being signed in the first place are beyond awful. But last night before going to sleep I saw with my own eyes and heard defeated Republicans. Possibly they have 215 votes and fall one short of stopping this now.
Ironic if the nutcase Eric Massa turns out to be right when he said, you watch, people, my missing vote will be THE deciding factor, and they went after me to get me out before the vote.
Yes, I know, he could have stayed long enough to vote, but he tainted himself so badly and said such stupid things afterward, I guess he had to get out. Probably his family demanded it and other threats kicked in, too.
For the last couple of years during the latter part of winter when even I get tired of it I have been cruising the for sale sections of Craigslist in places like around the Tampa Bay Fl. and Houston for older large yachts like over 40’ just to live aboard during the winter, I have seen many affordable ones, some were so desperate the boats were literally being given away.
I was also looking at Hawaii but I have some doubts about living there in the winter, I keep getting bad vibes about that place. I lived in Houston for 4 years, I know it pretty good, I like Florida but it costs more in dock rental plus the fact of more storms there. I would even slightly consider California in the Delta but unfortunately its the sad fact its California.
So I can give you an answer, many Alaskans have another place they go to in the winter, most do Hawaii, many have a home in Oregon or Arizona. I am almost about to seriously doing something, I moved here in 1992, back in 2004 I rented a vacation home in Orlando for a month, that was a blast, kinda expensive though and I haven’t done it since.
Because of Scott Brown’s win, there are only 59 Senate Dems, which is why they are trying to pull a reconciliation COUP.
