Our Republicans have been magnificent.
I like your idea of thanking them, or maybe it was Dinah Lord’s.
I’ll do that overnight also.
All right. :)
We’re still looking for any breaking news, although it’s not likely at this late hour.
I am so confused. Earlier today the Pro Choice group threatened to walk if the Stupak amendment was incorporated. Then we hear that they might live with the EO which makes one scratch their head wondering precisely what was contained in the EO. Bambi is apparently speaking out of both sides of his mouth trying to appease both sides with a wink and a nod. It makes no sense.
Absolutely ... and we know there’s no sewer
to which they won’t sink. Keep praying ..
relentlessly.
I’ve always been just a tinge suspicious
of Stupak .. wondering if he’s playing a
game, holding out for ............something.
Tomorrow, the trumpets will blare .. the
demons will declare themselves .. history
will be written for all time .. and we and
God will take names and fight on.

Health Bill Will Fail Without Stupak Democrats
By Ed Carson
Sat., March 20, ‘10 - 8:13 PM ET
Two more key Democrats decided to vote against ObamaCare, Blue Dog leader Jim Matheson of Utah and Ohios Zack Space. Space voted yes for the House health bill in November.
*snip*
UPDATE: First-term Virginia Rep. Glenn Nye will vote no, saying the health bill doesn’t do enough to control costs. Based off of Firelakedog’s count, that would increase the no votes to 208, or 218 including Stupak Democrats.
*snip*
The latest proposed solution is for the White House to issue an executive order reiterating no federal funding for abortion. It’s not clear if this will satisfy Stupak, but if a few members of his bloc go along, that might be enough for Pelosi.
Meanwhile, Matheson was clear on why hell vote no, itll leave our nation worse off”:
*snip*
Space apparently didnt get the must-pass-something memo from the White House:
*snip*
Update: Where in the world is Rep. Loretta Sanchez? Democrats aren’t sure the Orange County Democrat will vote for the bill. In fact, they aren’t sure she’ll even show up.
From Roll Call:
Sanchez was nowhere to be found on Saturday she was in Florida on a fundraising jaunt, two Democratic sources said and while leaders expected her to return for the Sunday vote on final passage, they werent assured. Whats more, leaders now list the Orange County Democrat as a no vote.
At this point, every vote is key. Firedoglake had assumed Sanchez as a yes vote. The Hill has her as undecided.
Firedoglake, including Nye and Sanchez, has an updated count:
No votes: 209, or 219 including Stupak Democrats
Yes votes: 205.
Undecided: 8

THANK YOU, NUTMEG, FOR YOUR FANTASTIC
ON SCENE REPORTS ~~~!!! YOU ROCK !
Goes back to the old adage that says,
when you set out to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one.
The liar-in-chiefcan;t be believed, yet some idiots choose to “selectively” believe him.
Again, Stupek must know, he’s not fooling God.
Quite Welcome,,,
I feel the very same thing,,,
It was so thick you could cut it with a knife,,,
Sorta all Warm-n-Fuzzy...;0)
Every last one of them had better be at Mass tomorrow to hear the Bishops plea to vote NO.
PRAY ALL NIGHT AND STAND VIGIL.
Yes, I love it best, when the drawl is thick.
I get a kick out of it, from both the young and old.
I might add, God bless ‘em all.
They’re patriots. They get it.
Yes yes it is good news and I could kiss you Art for pointing that out. I had to re-read it (through tears) as I thought she said it would be SUFFICIENT to bring the entire group on board. OMG my nerves are getting the better of me and I was about to turn in feeling it's over.
Not one mention at church tonight.
Yes, it’s GREAT and welcome news brought to us by our dear Art in Idaho. I am sitting here, praying my Rosary ring.
I am still in shock and would like confirmation that Loretta Sanchez is voting NO. If true, that is a sea change and proof of prayers answered.
Not one mention? Oh Dear Lord.
Well, the announcement was posted here tonight.
From SE Mom just now to me on another thread:
BREAKING NEWS:
Democratic Rep. Michael Arcuri switches vote to no on health care
- - - - - - - - -
PRAISE THE LORD AND GOD BLESS HIM!
THANK YOU (((( SE Mom ))))
Shock isn’t the word but Bambi may send Air Force One to bring her back tomorrow or suffer the wrath of her colleagues. Did she say she would vote No or does her absence constitute a NO?
Jumping for absolute joy. HE is hearing our prayers!
La Raza may have gotten to her - and they are opposed to the bill as it supposedly doesn’t cover illegals.
