Your plant manager knew how to talk budgets and trends in his part of the industry and competitive situations.
Well..., that definitely counts Sarah Palin out, being a governor of Alaska... LOL ...
What exactly is your point? I’ve been a solid backer of Palin for a year and a half.
She clearly knew her stuff when she was governor, and she needs to master some different stuff to be president. Americans generally like to elect former governors as presidents and when former governors step up to run for president they generally have to do some homework to get up to speed on international affairs.
She’s got a greater challenge than many because the Democrats and the media have convinced so many moderates that she’s a know-nothing of limited intellect. Rove was on point in saying she’s a viable, qualified candidate but/if she uses this year wisely to get prepared for the full-time run she’d have coming.
Because a plant manager doesn’t have to know how every widget in a factory works doesn’t mean that Palin doesn’t have to work to be articulate on a slew of issues.
