It says start shooting, I didn’t read that. Where does it say that. It says exercise your Constitutional right to bear arms. There is a difference. You don’t think this progresses further? The Constitution matters. Listen to the audio on that page, you can surf the net and not be stuck there and American may very well have a second revolution in the next year or two. I don’t take this lightly.
So do the 10 Commandments and many other words written on papyrus, paper and other materials. But if nobody, especially governments, are bound by them what do these have for anything but historical significance?
America -- a great idea, didn't last.
What did the Founders do when the redcoats were coming?
They shot them.
I have no doubt this column is intended as hyperbole, but it’s remarkably stupid hyperbole.
When the redcoats marched on Concord, they were all together in a column and even had the courtesy to dress in red.
How exactly are we to tell who the enemy is today?
What are we to do by bearing arms? All walk around with guns over our shoulders and then go home? Isn’t that remarkably like the delusion that you can point a gun at an intruder and therefore won’t have to shoot him? Leaving aside the obvious fact that the intruder in this case is himself extremely well armed, arguably better armed and organized than the defenders.
All I’m saying is an extension of the common sense notion that one should never pull a gun on someone unless you plan to kill him. And the even more common sense notion that you better have a clear idea of who you plan to shoot and why.
