The pretending has got to stop. I've HAD IT with every single Liberal/Democrat in my life. I don't care if you're an Aunt, Cousin, neighbor or a life-long friend. I don't care that we go to the same church, coach my son's basketball or if we have kids that hang out together.

There's no longer room in my life for you or anyone who would associate themselves with those who are purposefully dismantling the country my children will have to live in.

I'm ready to post to Facebook that what's going on in our Government in broad daylight should bring nothing but SHAME and DISGUST to anyone with a lick of sense. And if you voted for Øbama or any of the Congressional crotch-fruit who is breaching the oath they took to uphold the U.S. Constitution, you can go straight to HELL! Un-friend me now.

To overtly disenfranchise the 2/3rds of us who can see the corrupt action this week as the Coup d'état that is is unconscionable. Not to mention the rest of the SOCIALIST ECONOMIC BULLSHIT they've shoved down our throats this past year.

The Bible verse you quoted is in context of the church; there are those sowing false doctrine. They are to be avoided. Actually, they are to be kicked out.

I think it is an incorrect stretch to interpret it to mean that we can’t have any relationships with liberals.

I do think you are free to disassociate with liberals if you want to, of course. Sometimes that wins people over, when they see how strongly you feel.

Other times it is best to continue the dialogue. Not everyone at FR has been a conservative all their lives. Many of us were persuaded to become so in one way or another.

Thanks - well said! My thoughts exactly. I can barely look at or talk to my in-laws because of their Democrat leanings and votes for Carter,Kerry,Obama, etc. Their sheer stupidity is beyond belief. I have had to keep quiet to keep the peace, but no more. My husband is the only one in his family who is a patriot (decorated veteran),votes 100% Republican, and is intelligent. His sister thinks Michelle is the greatest!

I cannot take it any longer. They are all idiots, and they are cancelling my vote and destroying the future for my children! If we all speak up to our Democrat and liberal friends and family members perhaps we can enlighten them and change a few votes. That will be difficult, though, because their liberal leanings and Democrat voting records prove that their intelligence is on the beginning side of the bell curve.

What I think that many of us are realizing is that it was the liberals long ago that drew the lines and began to look at anyone who is to the right of clinton as an uneducated, simple-minded redneck. As I have mentioned, I have been shunned by liberals more than a few times. At first I did not like the loss of a friend, but now, that friend is someone who wants me to live under a tyrannical government. They may be happy to live that way, but I am not.

We are almost at the point the Israelis are with Iran. Iran wants to eliminate Israel. So, how does Israel begin to strike a civil coexists with Iran?

After Billy boy was elected, politically ignorant me got into a conversation with a co-worker who listened to Rush Limbaugh at work. Our conversation was over health care funny enough. The co-worker was a jerk in some ways, but he was right in his politics. He questioned me about what has the government ever run that has worked out well. It left me speechless. I was a non thinker at the time. A few years later (1998), I’m listening to Rush Limbaugh and so began my conversion. So I can’t credit the co-worker with my conversion—it really was a combo of a few things in my life, but I often think back to my conversation with him. I’m probably further to the right than him now!

As for Israel/Iran, I don’t think individual relationships between people are comparable. Israel should do whatever it needs to do to stay secure.

There’s been a degree of “go along to get along” in my past, but since shithead got elected, the division has crossed a line. I used to think that the division during the Bush years could be placed squarely at the feet of the media’s actions during Gore/Florida/2000. But now, I know I’m not the only one who feels that the political gray areas are now pencil-thin. I don’t see how we can have two polar-opposite Americas between the Atlantic and Pacific any more. Dark clouds are on the horizon, and this storm’s gonna be a MOTHER!
