U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer said today he plans to vote in favor of health-care reform.

The freshman Democratic Congressman had been undecided in the weeks leading up to the vote, but made his decision after the Congressional Budget Office released its estimates that the bill will reduce the deficit by $130 billion over 10 years.

“ I needed to see the bill and the Congressional Budget Office score,” Schauer told the Citizen Patriot in an exclusive interview. “The bill fundamentally does what I hoped it would.”

There’s nothing “progressive” about Marky Mark Schauer. The way to get the independents here to vote for him is to keep referring him to the yesman that he is doing whatever Washington Obama tells him to do.

Ah, so he was a yes vote last time. So this is fauxmentum. They are scared and they are not going to count their cards. They’re going all in without looking.

These aren’t ordinary times, they will hold a vote even if they can’t guarantee passage.

This isn’t unexpected as this guy knows he’s a one term Representative.

The CBO is GIGO; Garbage In Garbage Out. I do not blame the CBO staff they are just given what Pelosi tells them and does some crunching no matter how realistic the assumptions are.

I’m doing everything I can. I have been calling, I don’t bother contacting Waxman since we already know how he stands, but I have been contacting others. Just that every time I hear that another fool is voting yes it just makes me physically ill

I’m at a loss as to how this will turn out. The hope I see is that it hasn’t been voted on yet. It means that Pelosi still hasn’t rounded up enough votes.

Yeah ... collect taxes for 10 years and pays out for 6 ... and calls the overage a deficit reduction. What an ass.

.Positive thinking, people! They’re NOT going to announce those who previously voted yes who are now no votes. I believe Paul Ryan stated they’re 10 votes short, give or take a couple. Bottom line is, it doesn’t matter what any of these wishy-washy Congressman say.. It all comes down to what button they push during the vote.

Pelosi and Reid have been able to whip enough votes everytime. I do not see why this is any different. As a disclaimer, I am pessismist by nature.

"but made his decision after the Congressional Budget Office released its estimates that the bill will reduce the deficit by $130 billion over 10 years."

Obama is running $1.4 trillion dollar yearly deficits and this clown thinks reducing that large of a deficit by $130 billion in 10 years is actually doing anything? Not to mention the number is bogus anyways.
