For the last several years, Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance charity have conducted Freedom Concerts across America. Theyve told you that they are raising money to pay for the college tuition of the children of fallen soldiers and to pay severely wounded war vets. And on Friday Night, Hannity will be honored with an award for this Outstanding Community Service by a Radio Talk Show Host at Talkers Magazines convention.
But its all a huge scam.

Thanks. I later saw more as I read more posts on this thread. I’ve never been a Debbie S. fan, as I stated, so that wouldn’t really surprise me. I’m not sure what motivates her, but it doesn’t often seem to be coming from a high place.
And what is Ms. Debbie’s purpose here? Other than making a name for herself on someone else’s expense?
I've never heard him insult FReepers before. I've heard him dismiss "birthers" but not all FReepers are "birthers".
If this turns out to be true, it could be the end of Sean Hannity.
Personally, I wouldn’t miss him a bit.
FOX should give his evening hour to a true patriot—Megyn Kelly.
As Col. North is affiliated with the Freedom Alliance (as the founder), I cannot believe he would condone or allow these shenanigans to go on.
I will support Sean Hannity.
If that’s a slight backpedal from my previous post, so be it.
Thank you for stating real facts. Charity Navigator is a reputatble charitable watchdog group and I’d take their facts over that loony Schusser anyday.

That "You're a great American" thing is so inane.
Therein is the problem. Hannities tours are 501 non-profits, not charity operations. They donate their profits to a charity if they have one. They are not required to have profits but they try like hell to do that..
They are not the Red Cross for example or the Salvation Army and should not be treated in the same light or scrutiny. He is not a charity, but is a charitable person with a NP business.
I hope I am getting through to some people. This reminds me of a union fight I had back in the day when I tried and failed to explain how a percentage based raise in salary was fair from the company's view. They did not buy it at all. The company is now defunct......
Well then this should blow ovwer quickly, as I hope it will. I can't stand Hannity, but he is at least on the right side, and I do not wish him ill. If Schlussel is lying his lawyers are going to drain her bank accounts and she will have to beg for Botox.
NOT TO MENTION: The massive printing/postage expense just might have to do with books/pubs about the military, benefits of military service, national sovereignty, etc., as set out in the tax return.
It appears the president earns $146K and the CFO under $100K, which in the DC Metro area are relatively low salaries for jobs bearing this level of responsibility.
By the end of the day, it might well be Ms. Schlussel who has some ‘splainin to do.
We do, and thanks for being the voice of reason on this thread. Debbie Schlussel is a nut case digging up accusations made in 2006. She isn't smart enough to even be original.
I just glanced thru the tax returns and found, for instance, reference to books dealing with the military, benefits of military service, national sovereignty. To print and mail those could take an awful lot of money. If the ‘staff’ is a CEO and CFO, that means hiring out the handling/shipping to outside contractors. I really think Ms. Schlussel has created a stew to match her wishful thinking.
That was a few years ago. He expected FReepers to line up behind him and follow in lock step, and threw a tantrum when we wouldn't. FReepers are not herd animals. He also called us "FReeps", a serious violation of protocol.
Hannity knows not to mention FR any more.
The organization is a 501(c)(3) public charity. They are charity gigs. However, you are right that they are an extremely expensive way to raise funds for charity.
501(c)(3) definition - finance The section in the Internal Revenue Service tax code that describes the criteria an organization has to meet in order to receive tax-exempt status; such an organization is a 501(c)(3) organization. The organization may be charitable or religious, or it may be set up to promote common interests, such as the environment or running. One advantage of being classified as a 501(c)(3) is that donors can deduct their contributions from their income taxes.
Just saying it don’t make it so! Look at Huffington Post, Salon, Move on, they make outrageous claims which most are lies!
Where is the documents?
And then, there are the 2008 Freedom Alliance tax forms, which were signed in November 2009 and filed only recently. That year, Freedom Alliance took in $8,781,431 in revenue and gave $1,060,275.57 totalor just 12%to seriously wounded soldiers and for scholarships to kids of the fallen. Remember, this is well below the 75% required to be considered a legitimate charity. And after claiming in written letters to donors that 100% of the money donated, via the Freedom Concerts or otherwise, to the scholarships would go directly to the scholarships and not to expenses, the Freedom Alliance decided to do the contrary and charge expenses anywaycharging a whopping $436,386 to give out $802, 250 in scholarships. That means that 35% of the $1,238,636all of which was supposed to go to scholarships for these kids of the fallenwent to Freedom Alliance.
This is a left wing group allied with Chicago and ACORN!!!!!!
