For the last several years, Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance “charity” have conducted “Freedom Concerts” across America. They’ve told you that they are raising money to pay for the college tuition of the children of fallen soldiers and to pay severely wounded war vets. And on Friday Night, Hannity will be honored with an award for this “Outstanding Community Service by a Radio Talk Show Host” at Talkers Magazine’s convention.
But it’s all a huge scam.

Totally agree. He acts how liberals treated conservatives for years. Immature, unable to complete a thought, talks over those who disagree with him. His ego stinks through the broadcasts. How long will it take for principled conservatives to see that unprincipled defenders of our positions ultimately hurt our cause greatly? The media will find out soon enough. Maybe Mark Levin will get Hannity’s slot. That would be a big improvement.
Personally, my gut tells me this is very possible with a guy like Sean.
He is always pushing some kind of event or book that puts his ego right in center stage.

I don't need to do "research" to know that Hanniy has had John McCain on his show 8 times since the election, and not once called him on amnesty or his other treachery. He had Newt on a few weeks after he endorsed Scozzafava and didn't call him on it. He is the worst debater I have ever seen. made him look like an idiot after one of the 2008 debates, and he actually once lost a debate to the slothy George Mitchell, !
My wife cringes every time she hears him TRY to explain conservative principles without Mark Levin there to write him post-it notes. He is pathetic. I have no idea if Schlussel's accusations are true. I disagree with that wrathful bitch about 70% of the time. But Hannity is useless. Beck beats him regularly in the ratings--at 5pm! Mediaite said if Beck had Hannity's slot he would reach FIVE MILLION viewers (based on %s). Do you think Hannity educates Americans even 10% as much as does Beck?
Hey I agree with you but lets find out the story from both sides. If we believed everything these liberals told us then Rush, Beck, Levin, Palin, Maulkin and Regan would have been considered evil, racist bigots. I am waiting on the facts... If true, then yes he deserves to be “pounded”.
Well...I guess I see it differently. If he raised money (ANY AMOUNT)for charity...he is a patriot! I did not know a charity is considered a charity if all charitable dollars have to exceed a certain percentage....

I second that! Shame on some of you for believing things without verifying the facts. Seems some are just as gullible as those who put the zero in office. There are guidelines that all charities must follow and a percentage that must go toward that charity. If Sean was doing anything illegal with this, he would’ve been in trouble years ago with the IRS.
Now, if this were Glenn Beck, everyone on here would call BS. Some are just as misguided as the libs they loathe.

I am not the biggest fan of Sean’s but I have listened to him for off and on for years. I hope that this is not true.
A couple numbers seem to not make a great deal of sense to me. First, 65,000 bucks for aviation expenses is not that much. Second, the very sad thing is that many of the solders that we have lost are relatively young. How many of them have college aged children? Could it be that some of this money is being placed in a trust to be given out as the children of fallen heros reach college age?

I don't listen to Hannity often. Sometimes he gets on fire, then he's quite good. But otherwise the drivel is just too suffocating. Especially if I just spent a few hours with Rush -- the comparison is not nice for Sean. That said, Hannity has done good work for the movement and I appreciate it. I do hope this is not true.
If it's not true, I hope Hannity sues Ms. Schlussel every which way possible. She really better have her ducks in order before making claims such as this one.

Still, this kind of accusation is dynamite and Hannity cannot simply dismiss or ignore it if he wants to be believed. This appears to be a fraud on well-intention Americans that shows a cynicism and dishonesty on Hannity's part that - if true - should torpedo his career.
I await Hannity's explanation and a cogent response to Schlussel's serious accusations but bombast and evasion - or silence - will convince me that Schlussel got it right - and frankly, whatever my reservations regarding Sean Hannity's talents, I don't want that to be true. If it is, Hannity is a fraud that should be abandoned by conservatives. If it isn't - Hannity should sue Debbie Schlussel into oblivion, where she would belong if this story proves false. We'll see.
If, a very BIG IF these allegations are true, he is "pocketing" money. His own. He and others are living large on peoples goodwill.
There is one thing I will always be grateful to Sean for..Election Day, 2004..3PM in the afternoon..I’m driving back to my then home in Chappaqua from lower NJ..I had to go down for the day before due to last minute conference...looking forward to gettign home, voting..then watching the returns..I get in the car at 3..and hear the reports of the phoney exit polls.and Bob Schrum callign Kerry “Mr. President”..and I am soooo depressed..then Sean comes on..and he set it straight..
