I say we we send them a 1040 tax return with a message written across that says:

Somebody update me, but I believe that physical mail and packages are delivered to a security screening facility well away from the capitol and much delayed before any delivery to the House or Senate.

Except all packages to the Capitol are redirected to a mail screening facility in Virginia to be scanned first. They may not get the package until a week after they vote (or have been deemed to have voted).

Good idea except the packages won't go directly to the capitol. First they will only stack up at the postal facility which I believe is outside of the district. After the anthrax attacks, all packages must be screened and x-ray and I don't believe they will be delivered by Saturday. Not enough time.
I'm sure there is a FReeper out there with this knowledge?

I sent email this morning to Kucinich congratulating him on selling his vote, This was on his web site:

Dear Friends: Due to heightened security all mail (USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, etc) takes 10 -14 days to reach my Washington D.C. office.

In addition, all mail is opened and screened before reaching my Washington D.C. office.

Hearing from you is important to me. Due to delays in service to my Washington office, please continue to send correspondence to either my Lakewood Congressional office or Parma Congressional office.

We won’t have a health care system left after obamanation gets through CUT & GUTTING it. We are fighting for the SOUL of America, not just keeping illegals out.

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Contact congressional aides.

CODE RED Contact list http://www.nrcc.org/CodeRed/targets/
Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

Bad idea.

If this looks like it will come to fruition, some leftist nut job will send a package with "white powder". The media will jump all over it blaming "Right Wing Extremsist's who are anti-health reform"...

Who wants to bet on that one?>

Put a block of styrofoam in the box. Something that will take up lots of space and cannot be compacted.

Unfortunetely for all involved, the packages will not go to DC, Some poor schmuck in Virginia will be dealing with them.

Perhaps we can combine it somehow with the sob stories for the staffers?

Not sending them biohazard waste or anything, but maybe some insurance forms asking them how to fill out symptoms of excessive burning from being sexually abused by Congress?

So if you get through the switchboard to a sniveling Rat-brat Dem aide, what good will it do to argue points on this bill.

We know the brats hate having to talk to the "dirty little people" out here. The phone lines must be the bane of their existence.

So why not remind them that if Obamacare passes, they will forever be receiving the pleas for help and sob stories that used to go to the doctor's receptionist and the insurance company.

That's right little congressional staffer. From now on, people will have to resort to lobbying their congressional office for approval on treatments of hemorrhoidal problems, on yellow chest congestion, on leaky colostomy bags, on venereal medications, on all sorts of personal "nitty gritty." And THEY will be taking those calls.

Is that what they want? Do they realize that what their boss and their fuhrer is telling them to push for will end up in their laps on the front line? I think it would cut through the clutter for them. Might spawn some pretty good water cooler discussions in DC, no?
