COME AND TAKE IT!
COME AND TAKE IT!
Or: "I Deem this to be paid."
Tax return and the message should read: Taxes deemed to be paid!
>> I say we we send them a 1040 tax return with a message written across that says:
COME AND TAKE IT!
I’m on board with the FedEx thing ... but I would avoid filing 1040’s with “Come and Take It” written on there. I work in the tax resolution industry, and you really don’t want to screw with the KGB (IRS).
The IRS is EXTREMELY hard on people they determine are “tax protesters”. Such a return is likely to be deemed “frivolous”, and will be slammed with an immediate fine of $5K. And, if you don’t fix the return and pay the fine quickly, they’ll start levying. “Tax Protester” cases are the ONLY instances where I have actually seen the IRS seize homes, cars and property. They’ll shut down businesses. They’ll make your life miserable just to make an example of you for other people that think filing a “Come and Take It” retun would be clever.
Protest away ... but I’d avoid bringing the IRS into the matter. Hell hath no fury ...
