Dose of truth for Obama
Boston Herald ^ | March 18, 2010 | Michael Graham

Posted on 03/18/2010 10:20:39 AM PDT by george76

Forget “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” All Mrs. Martin had to do was stay in her seat, and she landed another blow against Obamacare.

Mrs. Martin, aka Ingrid, is an unemployed health care professional from Ohio. A friend took her along to see President Barack Obama’s “Health Care Hallelujah” speech in Strongsville Monday, where she wound up in the front row, listening in disbelief.

“I crossed my hand and bit my lips a couple of time, and when he made his Medicare claim I said ‘no, no, no,’

As he shook hands after the speech, he asked her, “Are you OK?”

“ ‘Yes, sir, I’m fine,’ I told him. ‘I just don’t support your bill,’ ” she said. “And at that point, security and everyone stopped.”

Democrats aren’t even talking policy anymore. They’re all about the politics. They’ve got to pass a bill - any bill - to save this inept poseur of a president from himself.

That’s the worst part of Ingrid Martin’s encounter with Obama. It showed the facts don’t matter. The trillion-dollar debt doesn’t matter.

And none of those Democrats in Congress understands the consequences of this bill as well as one unemployed woman in Ohio

Is this first that we’ve heard of this story? If so, I’d say we’re doomed.

The conversation went along politely and the president promised to send Martin some information to answer her questions. What didn’t happen is the president explaining how cutting $500 billion out of Medicare while adding more people to the rolls is going to “make its finances more secure.” Obama didn’t answer the question because he can’t. Even Congressional Budget Office director Douglas Elmendorf agrees with Martin, saying “to pay future Medicare benefits and financing new spending outside of Medicare with the same $500 billion in ‘savings’ would essentially double-count . . . and thus overstate the improvement in the government’s fiscal position.”

My Lord, this got published in a Boston newspaper?

We are not doomed until we say so..Me seeing the way these morons are scrambling to get votes gives me so much pride for the men and women in Washington that are voting against it..They are true hero's Dem's and Repub’s..

We won’t have a health care system left after obamanation gets through CUT & GUTTING it. We are fighting for the SOUL of America, not just keeping illegals out.

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Contact congressional aides.

CODE RED Contact list http://www.nrcc.org/CodeRed/targets/
Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

Obama lives in a fantasy landscape of celebrity parties and drooling sycophants. When reality intrudes, such as this gutsy citizen’s straight talk or Baier’s interview, Obama has no idea how to handle it except to lie, or keep talking around them.

I don’t beleive this story for 1 second. How could Obama muster enough compassion to ask “How are you?” /s (not really)

And when Obamacare fails Reid and Pelosi will be under the bus faster than you can Birth Certificate.

Here is some irony for you...when O-care does fail it will be truly bipartisan.

People have forgotten what life was like when Dems had control over the Federal government before Reagan... They don’t care if the majority want to be harmed by their schemes. They call it “courage” to do the wrong thing and hurt the majority of Americans and that is great as long as it advances socialism.

Socially, they proudly and openly discriminated against white men for decades; stuck their fingers in the eyes of the majority Christian population; did everything the could to weaken and twist the American family and relationships between men and women - at every turn they just hurt people as much as possible. They turned loose criminals on the streets to murder and rape over and over again in the name of poverty and race. It was a nightmare.

There was no news except the three networks and all of them sang from the Dem. party music sheet - never an objection.

I remember the Carter years vividly, the stagnant economy, the incredible mortgage interest rates (I sold a house to people who were glad to get 13%), the ineffectual president. I also remember how different things were just 10 years later. I don't think this was an accident.
