Virginia Thomas, wife of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, says her involvement in the "tea party" movement is the story of an average citizen in action.

In January, Virginia Thomas created Liberty Central Inc., a nonprofit lobbying group whose website will organize activism around a set of conservative "core principles,"

God speed to her, but I don’t like this.

I’d hate for him to need to remove himself from any cases should the ‘Tea Party’ ever be involved in one at the SCOTUS.

What a great man and a great family.

Dear God, please protect Mr. and Mrs Thomas and keep them healthy for MANY years.

Amen.

Why? Thomas isn't out demonstrating. This is his wife.

The only people kvetching about this are racists who oppose cross racial marriages.

Heard about this on the radio today. The left is going nuts over it. Oooo, and she even likes Rush Limbaugh!

Hey! Help me out here! I thought the Thomases went to Splitsville several years ago. Don’t get me wrong. I’m happy to possibly be wrong, but what IS the truth here? Are they still married? Thanks.

I agree.

In a perfect world, Mrs. Thomas would be free to pursue whatever political agenda she wants. But in this world, her relationship to Justice Thomas raises questions about conflict of interest.

When Hillary Clinton was playing politics while Bill was in office, I didn't think it was appropriate. I don't think it's appropriate for Mrs. Thomas, either.

If he declined to recuse himself, how could the ruling be appealed?

Yeah but who would the losing side appeal to? It is the SCOTUS so if his decision was on the side of the tea party then so be it, he’s a supreme court justice. Besides, he is a conservative justice...no secret there just like we all know the libs are libs.

The MSM and the Dems are starting this rumble for one reason and one reason only; ObamaCare. Here's the path -

Pelosi uses the Slaughter solution to get ObamaCare 'passed'. Since the constitutionality of the process is in question, someone of standing brings the matter to court. It ends up in the Supreme Court.

Now the MSM and the Dems can demand that Justice Thomas recuse himself from ruling because his wife is an 'activist' who opposes Obama.

If he does recuse, it is a 4-4 tie and the process is not struck down. If he does not recuse, the SCOTUS ruling against ObamaCare joins the ranks of Bush v Gore as another example - they will argue - of SCOTUS being a political instrument of the right.

All of this hubbub is the surest signal to me that the Slaughter solution is the path that is about to be taken.

It’s the Tea Party movement.
Not ‘Tea Party’ movement.

Have you ever seen the MSM call it the “abortion rights” movement, or the “antiwar” movement, or the “Move On” organization? No.

Another put down, which sadly NewsMax has failed to pick up on.
