ad_iconHouse may try to pass Senate health-care bill without voting on it

After laying the groundwork for a decisive vote this week on the Senate's health-care bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Monday that she might instead attempt to pass the measure without having members vote on it.

Instead, Pelosi (D-Calif.) would rely on a procedural sleight of hand: The House would instead vote on a more popular measure that presumes the health-care bill has passed the chamber.

The tactic -- known as a "self-executing rule" or a "deem and pass" -- has been commonly used, although never to pass legislation as momentous as the $875 billion health-care bill. It is one of three options that Pelosi said she is considering for a late-week House vote, but she added that she prefers it because it would politically protect lawmakers who are reluctant to publicly support the Senate bill.

In which case, it's not a proper bill, and when signed by Obastard, not a proper law, and therefore no individual is under any obligation to comply with it. One can ignore it as handily as one can ignore any other petty little non-binding resolution passed by just one of the two houses of Congress. A nothing. Furthermore, anyone who attempts to enforce it as a law against any individual will have, ipso facto, violated that person's constitutional rights and will be liable to suit under section 1983 for that violation.

If they do this, it will be the moment that TSHTF.
They’re askin’ for it.
We are inches away from a dictatorship, and Americans won’t stand for that.

Like Rush says “sure there are rules, but they are democrats, therefore there are no rules.”

They can’t just make stuff up and subvert The Constitution.

Well of course they may have already, if it is true that Obummer is not a natural born US citizen.

They have only contempt for The Constitution and the limits it gives them.
