A formerly proud nation, England, once went to war because a British seaman was deliberately mutilated. It was a short war called the “War of Jenkin’s ear”.
To be truthful, I forget who committed the mutilation, but the act was NOT repeated.
Today, Americans are slaughtered and “Ho Hum. We’ll seek justice.”
I fear that today’s government would settle the attack on Pearl Harbor by accepting a letter of apology and then resuming the shipments of OIL to Japan.
