Touting Romney to stop Soetoro-Care? And do what? Replace it with Massachusetts style Romney-Care?

Given you are a Mitt sycophant, I have a suspicion of which one.

Well, you are super wrong on that one. (as my past posts will attest) I wouldn't spit on mitt - wouldn't waste good spit.

But mindbenders point is that taking care of mitt can wait a week or so while we make sure this this country isn't taken over - for if these traitorous Marxists ram this bill through, it won't matter how many mitts there are out there.

To be wasting such a large percentage of time on mitt right now is no different than what N(Z)ero is doing - fiddling while Rome burns - from fires he set.

they ignore the real problems of TODAY - unemployment being uppermost - while they spend 90% of their time on something that doesn't even take effect for years down the road.

Yes - FR's can walk and chew gum at the same time - but when the house is burning down, it's time to put the energy into putting out the fire...

Today’s problems and tomorrows problems
ARE BIG PROBLEMS that need to be addressed TODAY.

I think we can handle both.

As long as Romy is giving lip, so shall we.

I laugh every time I see that image of the aristocrat.

If Romney is our nominee I will not vote for him.

If Sarah Palin announces candidacy, I will vote for her.

I'll even throw away my vote on a write-in for Palin over Romney.

Until someone better shows up, that's how it is.

Yes, bashing Romney and fighting the Fed’s destruction of the Constitution are the same fight.

Mitt could solve it himself by going away.

Romney is the reason McCain ever became front runner in the first place.

But you’re right, McCain didn’t fight. And his age, definitely hurt him.

They are both at fault. But Romney more so, because Romney is the one who advertised false claims against the other candidates and played the spoiler.

I agree, focus on this fight and nothing else.

What do you mean 'focus'?

What is not being done that you feel there is NOT ENOUGH focus on this gov't controlled health care take over?

Tell us what you have done where, you think, we aren't focused enough.

I’m sorry, but I do not recognize this couple, nor their significance in this debate. Care to share?

(I’m always willing to have some of my own ignorance cured, when possible.)

I have to believe that two or more conservatives (DeMint and Pence?) will run in '12. This dynamic will make our next GOP primary nothing like the last.
L'Mitt won't be a problem.

I don’t see Huckabee as an improvement over McCain or Romney. Fred Thompson was a miserable candidate and Duncan Hunter never got out of the starting gates. We had a miserable slate of candidates and there is no way Mitt Romney caused that. Hate on Willard all you want, but don’t blame him for Obama’s election.

MindBender, I agree wholeheartedly with what you're asking, but you are appealing to the wrong crowd here unfortunately. I don't know how to characterize where the majority of current FReepers are on the political spectrum, but do know one thing. If Ronald Reagan were alive today, and in either the California governor's office or the White House, this crowd would be ranting that he is a RINO too.

President Reagan was a truly great, great man, but he might never have become president had a recall effort against him succeeded when he was Governor of California.

The recall effort came largely from the right because he signed the Therapeutic Abortion Act of 1967 making abortion legal in California.

That same year, Governor Reagan signed the Mulford Act, a gun control measure "prohibiting the carrying of firearms on one's person or in a vehicle in any public place."

If he were alive today and was running on that record as governor, most FReepers would be attacking him as a "RINO" just as they attack so many Republicans these days. Oh, and we should not forget that as president of the United States...

Reagan signed into law the first -- and, to date, only -- true amnesty for illegal immigrants. That, of course, was the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, and it granted amnesty to about 3 million illegals who entered the U.S. prior to January 1, 1982. It was the catalyst for the flood of illegals who entered in the late 1980's and 1990's.

In addition, the national debt quadrupled during Reagan's presidency. Like every president before him and since, he increased federal power rather than rolling it back.

Thanks to the internet, the type of person who wanted to recall one of the 20th Century's greatest men now has a huge virtual megaphone to disseminate that point of view. Something worth remembering, don't you think?
