Future Fuels: Our secretary of energy pushes bio-refineries and windmills to oil executives at an energy conference as the administration announces a three-year offshore drilling ban. This is a policy for economic suicide.
They don't qualify as an official group of victims, but carbon-Americans, as they have been called, did not have much to cheer about last week, when Energy Secretary Steven Chu addressed CERAWeek 2010, a premier industry conference hosted by IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates.
With an economy struggling to regain sound footing, Chu advocated a starvation diet devoid of additional fossil fuels that are to remain under the ground and seabed. Instead, he supports 53% more funding for wind research and a 22% jump for solar research.

Your betting against ACORN, The SEIU and Chicago style politics. The Democrats RULE the big cities - and thats where elections are won and lost.
The only way we win is to make them afraid to show up. And that tactic is problematical at best!!
“Remember all the damage Carter did to America in four short years? We may never recover from 0bama.”
Bammy has done more damage in his first 6 months than the damage Carter did in 4 years. And, no, we will never recover.
You’re most likely right. I was being too optimistic. :)
What makes you think there will actually be elections in November?
At this point I’m not entirely sure there will be to be honest with you.
I didn’t actually think he would get this far.
“Chu acknowledged the role cleaner-burning natural gas can play in electricity generation, but only as a “transition to other fuels” in coming years. And the administration continues to gobble up lands where it might be found and impose environmental regulations that curtail the use of new technologies such as fracking to get more oil and natural gas from America’s vast shale deposits.” In the first place, the correct spelling is fracing..these ignorant asses can’t even get that right. In the second place, it is not new technology. We have successfully been fracing for 60 years. The reason it is being touted as new technology is because the Coal Industry has been painting it as a dangerous new technology, even though it has been environmentally successful for 60 years. I think our industry should take pictures of “clean coal technology.” What they do is spray a water mist over their smoke stacks, which collects in sludge pools. There is no such thing as clean coal technology.
2012 can not come soon enough...............................
Amen.
It may be time to break up the nation. Let the blue states go their own way and let the red states govern according to the Constitution.
We will come out in greater numbers this time.

I was making my 5 year old Grand-Daughter clean up her room yesterday and she was complaining that it was more fun making the mess than it was cleaning the mess up.
A perfect metaphor for Obama’s term as President.
Out of the mouths of babes, as usual! :)
