Romney fans, please don't shoot the messenger.
Mitt Romney's book has debuted at #1 atop the NY Times best-seller list among non-fiction hardcover books. However, the NY Times also provides some additional information that may explain how Romney's book hit the #1 spot.
Whenever the NY Times places a "dagger" symbol next to a book, it signifies that "some bookstores report[ed] receiving bulk orders" for the book.
The NY Times placed not just one, but two, daggers next to Romney's book. You can draw your own conclusion as to who it was that purchased Governor Romney's book in bulk.
By contrast, the NY Times failed to place the "dagger" symbol next to Governor Palin's book in any of the weeks she held the top position on the NY Times best-seller list among non-fiction hardcover books. Despite the left's unsubstantiated theories, bookstores did not report to the NY Times that they received bulk orders for Going Rogue. See week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4, week 5, and week 6. As you can see, in none of these weeks is there a dagger symbol next to her book.
Once again, I'm just reporting what I found from the NY Times. Don't shoot the messenger.
The Benny Hill music is great in the C4P version. Back when it first came out BOR did a story on it.
It is two daggers and the more that I google the reason that the New York Times book list put those daggers there, and the fact that this is a formal, public action, makes me think that this story could cause a minor scandal.
This is definitely a Romney story worth following, with his history of being a compulsive liar and a Machiavellian character, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
I’m not looking for guessing, there’s enough of that on this thread already.
Do you have information on what you term “significant”? I’m looking for factual references on what it means.
If you look at the previous weeks, there are many books with daggers next to them. So what I want to know is what exactly that means, in terms of numbers and amounts, without putting our own context into it on a political thread like this one.
Do you have the link to those previous weeks.
Every source gives the same reason for the dagger, I don’t know why irregularities with the Romney book sales gets two daggers.
If he is number one on the manipulated NYT’s list, is he number one over at Amazon also?
So far as I can tell, this was a pro-Palin blog attacking Romney's book sales. I've never heard the palin site called "Romneybot" before though.
Just random ones I found searching, you can google it if you like.
It’s interesting that Ann Coulter’s book also had a dagger for several of the weeks she was atop the list.
Sarah openly buying copies of her book from the publisher is a lot different than making bulk purchases from a retailer. Purchases directly from the publisher don’t count in the numbers on the best sellers lists.
Besides, over 2.5 million copies of Sarah’s books have been published and I doubt that Romney’s will do 1/10th of that.
learn. you ought to be capable.

Fascist carpetbagger Mitt ("I am Myth") Romney:
"You will embrace these attacks on the Gov. Palin and the GOP now, throwing the Election.
Create, then support, these anti-Palin attacks from our northern lands,
the media, and our operatives on the Obama and McCain teams who will join you.
I will gain GOP favor by condemning the attacks and
ordering them opposed from our lands in the south.
Whichever way the tide runs, we will rise and be left standing. "
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
Erick Erickson, who organized Operation Leper, said:
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off
.hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

No thanks, if you won’t link to them then I will dismiss your claim, my guess is that it isn’t relevant to this situation anyway, since it would be a truly embarrassing scandal if a GOP Presidential candidate with an already shady reputation and a history of lies and deceit did this, whereas it wouldn’t mean much to politics if someone else had a dagger appointed them.
They only target RINOs after the primaries.
I’m not a teenage girl that is here to learn your cutesy symbols that you use with each other, if you have something to say then spit it out, use grown up words.
Google is your friend.
I am not.

Uhhh.... what you wrote agrees with what I wrote.
So what was wrong?
Dismissed then.
Romney seems to be up to his usual despicable sleaziness, he sure has the right people trying to promote him here, they fit him to a tee.
