Not every member of the family is interested in maintaining the family business.
Once leaving ... I imagine it would be very difficult to reenter the arena again. Or have any desire at all to do so.

As for Kennedys discussion of the possibility of an eventual Senate run, Brand said, The congressman is committed to his current job and is looking forward to the next phase of his career and has no plans to run for elected office. Rhode Island has two fantastic senators and the congressman looks forward to supporting both of them in elections to come.
Allow me to translate.....Patches is going to move to MA and attempt to beat Scott Brown in 2012

What else is new??? These politicians are like ticks...the only way to get rid of them is to pull them off, and either flush them down the drain or burn them up...

I pity the poor doofus. He’s stupid; knows he’s stupid; knows everyone makes fun or his stupidity. Stuck with the “Kennedy Legacy” which is nothing to brag about.

I know it may be legal but morally should money given to a candidate for an election be held over for another election? Maybe it should be TAXED at or given to a legitimate charity.

P.S. again.
If he is taking a sabbatical, I suppose we tax payers will still be paying his salary.
It might be worth it though as long as he stays gone.
