Exposing Grover Norquist for the traitor he is to conservatism would be the best thing the GOP could do. But it’s doubtful...Lindsey Graham, McCain and a few other wolves in sheeps clothing seem to line up with him. And they need to go down with him!

MORE than you ever wanted to know about Grover Norquist, AUTHOR of the Bush amnesty.

BTW...Karl Rove is another one.

Karl Rove now says he is sorry that immigration reform was not President Bush’s top priority at the beginning of his second term rather than social security reform.

Speaking to The New York Times Rove said
“ As I said in the book, (Courage and Consequences) I wish we had led the second term with immigration reform.

If we had led with immigration reform at the beginning of the second term we could have had bipartisan cooperation with a Republican majority in the House and the Senate and done something important for the country that was tilted more toward what the Republicans wanted but couldn’t have passed without Democratic votes instead of Social Security which Democrats wouldn’t participate in until they had a taste of victory.

Immigration reform would have given everybody a bipartisan victory and would have cleared the ground for entitlement reform.”

Its all a bit late though and when Bush got an immigration bill put together by Senator Ted Kennedy and John McCain he seemed strangely disengaged from it and did little hard lobbying.

Perhaps the Republican right wing backlash warned him off, but there was no certainty that if Bush had embraced immigration reform at the beginning of his second term he would have achieved it

Opposition to immigration reform went across the political spectrum.

77% Oppose Drivers’ Licenses for Undocumented Immigrants

Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans oppose giving drivers’ licenses to undocumented immigrants. So do 68% of Democrats and 75% of those not affiliated with either major political party. There is little difference along gender, age, or income levels.

Frank Gaffney has been all over this since 03, as well as Michelle M and Robert Spencer.

I have repetedly warned conservatives about Norquists history and remarkably, so many ignore me.

Some listen and react appropriately.

I’ve met the man and my visceral reaction to him caused me to begin to do research. My instincts caused me to feel like throwing up when I met him.
It was very very strange.

I wrote to Mr. Spencer and he validated my good instincts. It was kind of him to respond as quickly and honestly as he did.

Agree on Grover Norquist. I’ve seen enough on him to convince me he’s a two-faced weasel and no conservative.
