Corrie's sister to Haaretz: U.S. encouraged family to sue Israel

This is Sarah Corrie Simpson's first visit to Israel. Her younger sister, Rachel Corrie, was killed by an Israel Defense Forces bulldozer in Gaza in 2003, at the age of 23. Now, the family is suing the state in the Haifa District Court.

"I'm glad the day is finally here, that the eyewitnesses are having a chance to talk in a court of law," she said in an interview with Haaretz on Thursday. "It's been seven long years."

The witnesses, who include Rachel's colleagues in the left-wing International Solidarity Movement, say Rachel climbed atop a mount of dirt to be sure the driver could see her, Simpson said. When he nevertheless kept coming at her, she tried to flee, but tripped and fell. "The bulldozer driver kept driving with the blade down, pushing the dirt over Rachel, and stopped when her body was under the cab."

"My father served in the military in Vietnam and was responsible for bulldozer operations," Simpson added. "He said there is no way that what happened to Rachel would have happened on his watch.

That Rachel was an idealistic dumbarse who thought her US passport and noble intentions would save her from the calumnies of the world.

That photo's a fake. Shadows don't match, and the man has no legs.

You may be right. Here's two more photos, with more consistent features and people. Still don't see any mound of dirt that her sister claims she climbed "atop". In fact the area with the dying Corrie is much lower than where the bulldozer was after it backed up...

You don’t “demonstrate” in a war zone, in the middle of a military operation. She was working with the enemies of Israel (and the USA), trying to stop a military operation. She was an enemy combatant, not a “demonstrator”.

I agree that she was a dumbarse, but she was not idealistic, but pure evil. She was working for an organization and a people fully dedicated to evil.

The Israelis (to their own detriment) greatly desire peaceful co-existance and have made countless concessions towards reaching that goal.

The so-called “Palestinians” are committed to expelling or (preferrably) slaughtering every Jew in Israel. The have absolutely no desire for peace. They follow the false prophet Mohammed’s example of negotiating “truces” when they are in a weak position, that they have absolutely intention of keeping, in order to regroup and wait for a chance to destroy their enemies.

The details which were stated were that she was in front of the equipment and the driver told her to move. Then he ran over her.

Those claims were made by Corrie's fellow radicals, who lie as a matter of course if it benefits the cause. There is no supporting evidence. Why are you so quick to accept their self-serving statements?

Why not, we've got lots of lawyers in the government, and they all have friends.

I think you just described manslaughter. You can’t run over someone because they refuse to move from the front of your vehicle, unless they are attempting to assault you.

First, the driver didn't see her, he didn't run her over because she refused to move. This was a common tactic, drivers didn't run the protestors over.

Second, this happened in a combat zone, during an active, ongoing operation. It wasn't a dispute between a driver and a protester at the local mall. The benefit of any doubt, and I don't see much, clearly goes to the driver. She had no legitimate business there.

Whether your victim is Mother Teresa or some radical demonstrator, you cannot run over someone when you could stop or avoid it.
?Ideally, the female dog would have been shot with a rubber bullet and arrested. However, she dove in font or a moving tractor. That is a Darwin Award.

Look at what she is doing in that picture: she is teaching young children to hate. That is pure EVIL.
