Still cannot believe some of the people who were defeated. Six thousand more votes for George Allen and ZERO probably wouldn’t be President.
Ever so often I get mad about that mentality all over again as some still pontificate and rail against Republicans. I don’t remember one of them saying they should have voted either. When they stay home in a Senate race, it is six years of a liberal because someone wasn’t ‘pure’ enough for their standards. Lately getting irritated has been coming closer together as we witness what is happening in DC.
I agree that the Republican in-fighting gave us Obama, but first it gave us McCain. I only hope that the infighting does not give us Romney. The media is clamoring for a Romney nomination. They were ready for him last time, but preferred McCain. I almost didn’t vote in the presidential primary because by the time WA got to vote, the choice had been made and none of the contenders were any good. I don’t trust Romney because he passed Romneycare in Mass., not because he is a Mormon or was once pro-choice. Romney is too ready to compromise with the liberals. He doesn’t seem to be well centered, to have and depth of principles.
