While I’m surely hoping and praying this is true, I’ll believe it when I (don’t) see it (a vote)!
1. There will never be a vote in the House to pass the Senate bill unless and until Pelosi has the votes. No speaker would subject his-her caucus to a difficult vote that isn’t a foregone conclusion.
2. Today Waxman dissed Stupak at Pelosi’s direction. Dumb move - puts them further away from the 216 they need.
3. With the decision of the Senate parlimentarian today, Pelosi cannot shield or protect her members from taking a recorded vote on the hated Senate bill. In one vote, every vulnerable House RAT will have to walk the following plank to political death:
YES to $500 billion in Medicare cuts
YES to $500 billion in new taxes
YES to the Louisiana purchase
YES to the Florida Gatorade
YES to the Cornhusker Kickback
YES to every sleazy deal in this corrupt bill
YES to the Cadillac tax that the unions despise
YES to taxpayer financed abortions
What reasonable person thinks that 216 House RATS are dumb enough to be laid exposed to this type of attack ad this fall?
The RATS jumping from Yes to No will accelerate overnight and into next week.
This was a very good day for killing BOcare. To finish the battle the GOP should play the Medicare Advantage card.
