Your hypothesis flies in the face of all those palinite arguments that she quit leaving the state in the capable hands of her conservative Lt. Governor. If the state is worse off after she quit (as the Alaska freeper wrote) then it is on her for not staying the course.

At the end of the day, I think her leaving office is neutral - those who don't like her will make a big deal out of it, and those who do like her will not care.

The real battle for Palin is to win over independents, and contrary of the author's assertions, both the Tea Party and Fox News are good platforms for doing just that. And Palin having a platform on Fox News gives her a way to get her message out independent of MSM filters and bias.

There was one thing that Palin couldn't do -- and that was "get rid of all the liberals"... doncha know...
