If Nancy Pelosi hoped to put the debacle of Eric Massa behind her, she failed to do so — mainly because too many Democrats apparently sense something weird at play, too. The House passed a GOP privileged resolution demanding an investigation into the handling of Massa’s behavior and complaints about ethics, which the Washington Post reported today had been known to House leadership for a long time:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office was notified in October by then-Rep. Eric Massa’s top aide of concerns about the New York Democrat’s behavior, two congressional sources familiar with the matter said Wednesday night. …

I heard one of their “talking heads” saying that the republicans have embraced Massa and elevated him as a “republican darling” and it was the Dems who chastised him, so the republicans are actually in the wrong. I couldn’t believe it. Is there nothing they won’t try? I actually think Massa was in on this. Shameful

This is one hugh and series distraction for Obamacare!
I pray this investigation clearly shows that this was rat on rat revenge for Massa’s failure to play the game.
And lets focus on Massa-Gate (Yes, I just coined that term. I am the first!) and ignore Obamacare until it dies of neglect.
You’ve got to believe that in the end ALL of the truth will be revealed. Memo to all RATS: you will not get away with anything. Govern yourselves accordingly.

From what I understand, the Ethics Committee abruptly stopped their on-going investigation of Massa, I figured it was along the lines of Glenn Beck's reasoning, that we'd know if Massa got *the phone call* after his ranting Sunday if suddenly, the probe (no pun intended) was over. When I heard it announced in a news spot, I decided, yep, Massa agrees to shut up, no naming names and all as he'd promised he was going to do with Glenn the other afternoon, they will stop looking into this smarmy, creepy stuff.
Today, Boehner introduced a privileged resolution, something the leader of each party is entitled to do, forgive my lack of specific procedural detail, I believe this kind of resolution goes to the top of the order of business, it is mandatory the House deals with it, etc., why the leader is the one with the privilege to introduce it. Anyhoo, he does so, it was to re-open the Ethics Committee investigation, complete the job, enough Dems joined the GOP to pass the resolution, so in effect, I believe, it would mean they must continue the probe.
