I see a likely combo of Romney/Palin, Palin/Romney. "Why?" you ask? Because even the Democrats I know would vote for Romney without a moment's hesitation.
(Donning my asbestos undies now.)

Palin is not going to be second-fiddle on anyone’s ticket anymore.

LOL Mitt has had such an interesting and exciting life in politics. Its a real page turner I’m sure.

Typical Ben Politico Smith. Mitt has crowds, Sarah has hordes.
OK, Ben. But you’d better watch out when those hordes get going.

Romney can sure talk tough but he is very similar to Gore in looks, demeanor and love for progressive policies.

The time for fooling around with RINOs and marxists who call themselves Progressives to hide their marxist agenda (as if that will continue to work forever) is fast coming to a close.
Its a blessed thing that the degenerate slick son of a bitch ROMNEY from a family of cowards is going to try for the GOP nomination because it will once and for all propel a candidate (as yet undetermined) to stop pulling punches and declare WAR ON SOCIALISM.
The candidate must name names, vow to destroy the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and excoriate geographic areas such as San Francisco and other socialist strongholds as US AGAINST THEM
The effin party is over, time to smack down these CPUSA stooges and fellow travelers, put PR mens heads on pikes, and put the fear of God and the sword in the hearts of the ENEMY WITHIN.

How can he be #1? Romney is currently #32 on amazon.com best sellers list. I have been checking every day and I have not seen No Apology in the top 10. It got into the low teens last week but that's about it. Sarah Palin held the #1 spot on amazon.com for nearly 3 months.
Maybe the Mormon Church bought a ton of Mitt's book.
I trust Ben Smith about as much as I trust Olbermann and Matthews.

Amazon and Barnes and Noble say something totally different:
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #32 in Books
BN.com Sales Rank: 115

No Apology: The Case for American Greatness
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #32 in Books
A Patriot’s History of the United States: From Columbus’s Great Discovery to the War on Terror
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #14 in Books
And I’m betting LS didn’t buy a few hundred thousand of his own books.

If Palin is dumb enough to get on a ticket with Romney she deserves to end up in history next to Theodore Frelinghuysen.

There are lots of Romney haters on this site. I could never figure it out for sure but I think I know what it's all about. I don't much like it. We all know what it is. Romney is a very solid conservative but not enough for many here. He knows economics and business perhaps better than any president we've had in recent memory. Yes I know he was part of the Health Care Program in Massachusetts but so what. States are meant to experiment. So this is the place to try out things. It's very different that forcing these things on the entire country. That's something different and I'm totally against it and I think Romney is as well.
The president of the United States cannot do much about abortion except to appoint members to the SCOTUS who he believes to be pro life. But there are no guarantees. These people when they get on the Court can change their opinions. Of the people who are visible now I'd go for Romney. Is he my perfect candidate? No. But I gave up waiting for Mr. Perfect a long time ago. People on this site think they can get Mr. Perfect (or Miss Perfect) or nothing else will do. They are the types who get Obama elected.
People on this site need to understand that the country isn't conservative but middle of the road. Just because we have mostly conservatives here, doesn't mean they are everywhere. I'm in a sea of liberal stupidity where I work so I'm aware of this.

My first choice would be Sarah Palin but if that doesn’t materialize I’d love to see Romney as our nominee. The holy wars on FR would be extremely entertaining. Lol. I can’t wait to watch you geniuses have to choose between a Mormon and a guy with some roots in Islam. Priceless.

Where are the crowds - there is nothing in the news about it. This is the 2nd bogus thread about his #1 position.

Its a book on Romney’s positions on major political issues? Where do they stock it, in the mystery section of the store?
To: GVnana
So Romney wrote a book, then bought a whole bunch of the copies in advance?
Probably cheaper publicity, than actual advertising.
