The Hill's survey of House Democrats' positions on healthcare reform legislation.
(Excerpt) Read more at thehill.com ...
Fast Summary: 1 switch from Yes to leaning No.
4 possible switches from No to Yes.
17 possible switches from Yes to No.
Boatloads of “no comment”.
By that count, only TWO more House Dems have to say no, and this thing DIES......
... also among the “no comments” are 27 supporters of the Stupak amendment who voted for final passage. I’m not seeing how this passes the House.
Steve Kagan Wi...made some comments not favorable to ObamaCare. He reps Green Bay, Fox Valley and barely one twice. If he votes yes on ObamaCare he is toast......
Fox News 11) asked the Congressmen from Northeast Wisconsin about voting on the Senate bill...
Let me put it this way: youre asking whether or not I trust the United States Senate, where they came up with a deal for Nebraska that the other states didnt get; where Louisiana would get a special deal. No, I dont trust the U.S. Senate, said Rep. Steve Kagen (D-8th District). So I think Id like to have a vote on something very meaningful.
If they had the votes it would be coming to the floor right away.
Time to send:

communications thanking them and urging them to hang tight.
That Chicago political criminal in the Ovaal Office is pulling out all the games in his book of dirty tricks to try and weedle, theaten and cozen his own party members for vote for this monstrosity.
A LOT of Dems are thinking about their futures right now, as evidenced by Evan Bayh and Massa.
The SEIU Union thugs are harrassing and threatening for National Socialist Healthcare, while the polls are telling them that if they DO vote for it, they are gone.
Obama has put the DC Dems in a NO WIN situation.
If they had the votes it would be coming to the floor right away.
There is a rumor that Pelosi is going to try and have a vote this Thursday 3/11 and not NEXT Thursday 3/18 as widely advertised.
I’ve heard some Tea Party Patriots are headed to DC just in case.
Called my Congressman’s number and let his staffer know I was against the senate bill. He voted yes on the House bill so I’m not too hopeful, but who knows. We have to do what we can.
This is a very smart move. We must be prepared for the worst and ready to summon the masses to descend on Washington.
Unfortunately, I think I see how this passes: Stupak: Health bill abortion fight can be resolved ('optimistic' on Commiecare)
Hoping for a miracle to stop it.
Nancy Pelosi:
We have to do this in partnership, and I wanted to bring up to date on where we see it from here. The final health care legislation that will soon be passed by Congress will deliver successful reform at the local level. It will offer paid for investments that will improve health care services and coverage for millions more Americans. It will make significant investments in innovation, prevention, wellness and offer robust support for public health infrastructure. It will dramatically expand investments into community health centers. That means a dramatic expansion in the number of patients community health centers can see and ultimately healthier communities. Our bill will significantly reduce uncompensated care for hospitals.
But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy. Furthermore, we believe that health care reform, again I said at the beginning of my remarks, that we sent the three pillars that the Presidents economic stabilization and job creation initiatives were education and innovationinnovation begins in the classroomclean energy and climate, addressing the climate issues in an innovative way to keep us number one and competitive in the world with the new technology, and the third, first among equals I may say, is health care, health insurance reform. Health insurance reform is about jobs. This legislation alone will create 4 million jobs, about 400,000 jobs very soon.

Jay Cost’s whip count is much more insightful:

Smart man, especially if he realizes that in order for the Senate to “keep it’s word” to the house members, the Senate has to BREAK it’s promises to the 9 democrats it paid off to get the 60 votes to begin with.
“also among the no comments are 27 supporters of the Stupak amendment who voted for final passage. Im not seeing how this passes the House.”
Stupak is backpeddling. He went from no to maybe. The others will probably follow suit.
Those were originally 'yes' votes, we don't need them all, just a few and that would kill the Bill.
Sorry. I worded that poorly. He said he couldn’t support the Senate version and would vote no. He is now suggesting that he will vote yes once again.
