Romney: Rush Wrong on McCain Campaign (BARF ALERT)
Newsmax ^ | 2010-03-08 | Jim Meyers

Mitt Romney disagrees with radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh’s claim that Romney made a grave error in endorsing Sen. John McCain over more conservative former Rep. J.D. Hayworth in the Arizona Republican primary.

“I find it hard to disagree with Rush Limbaugh on topics, but on this one I do,” Romney tells Newsmax.TV.

“I know Senator McCain. I think his experience in the military, in the Senate, and the wisdom and judgment he has developed over a lifetime is something we need in the Senate.

“I think it serves our country well. I also believe that it’s essential that we win the general election and send a Republican back to Washington. I think Senator McCain has by far the best prospects of being re-elected senator from Arizona, rather than somebody who would be new to the scene.”

The key for JD Hayworth to beat McCain would lie in the Mormon vote in the Phoenix suburbs. However, all the prominent Mormon politicans like Jeff Flake and Matt Salmon endorsed McCain. With Romney’s endorsement, JD Hayworth has no chance. AZ Mormons, who dislike McCain, will follow Mitt Romney’s lead and vote for McCain.

Now is the time for states with open primaries to begin reconsidering them or we’re going to end up with another mccain RINO in 2012. I don’t get why democrats are allowed to help choose the GOP candidate anyway.

I like them much better when they are lobbing grenades at each other.

Mitt Romney and John McCain accused each other Monday of harboring liberal tendencies, a charge bordering on blasphemy in the increasingly caustic campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

Most of those pictured at that site should just join the Democrats. That kind of Republican is a fake and a fraud. The head honchos are trying to make conservatives ‘go away’ and don’t seem to care if they destroy the party AND the country.

You’re warped. Grow some convictions.

I think McKennedy’s had his last term stinking up the Senate. The only question is whether he gets replaced by a conservative or an out of the closet lefty. How many conservatives will actually come out and vote for him again after amnesty, campaign finance, and the prescription drug entitlement votes? About all he could do now is come out against the Second Amendment.

Oh yeah, they will.

But more people are on to that tactic and I doubt he has good polling numbers.

The media want Romy for the same reason they wanted McLame.

Easy to beat.

I agree with YOU; but it is looking like the media is going to try to ram Romney down our throats in 2012 just like they did McCain in 2008.

Yep, And with lots of open Primaries early in the campaign,The Rats will be trying to pick the weakest Repub for the nominee.

Just like last time.

“I know Senator McCain. I think his experience in the military, in the Senate, and the wisdom and judgment he has developed over a lifetime is something we need in the Senate."

So why did Romney attack McCain during his 2008 campaign for the GOP nomination?  He ripped McCain day in and day out on issues ranging from illegal immigration, the bailout, and his out of control temper.  It got so bad that McCain referred to Romney as a pig when asked about the latest attack by Romney.

Well, he was a bit more subtle in his response. He said, “never get into a wrestling match with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it." When asked if he had compared Romney to a pig, he replied clenching his teeth, holding his temper, “that was just a philosophical approach to politics, hehe.” And now Romney has done and 180 degree reversal on McCain.  I guess Romney is just being Romney, as usual.

And by the way, JD isn't new to the scene – he has served in the US House for 12 years.

The Progressive movement is big and it has been moving under the radar for a long time. Entirely un-American.
