Famines, wars and earthquakes have happened practically every year of recorded human history and beyond. Nothing is new or prophetic about that fact.

You were saying ...

Famines, wars and earthquakes have happened practically every year of recorded human history and beyond. Nothing is new or prophetic about that fact.

That's true and the Bible doesn't say that this indicates that the last of the end days are near because of that. It says that the end is "not yet" when you see these things... :-)

There are other things that indicate that the end of the last days is very near... (and that's true, apart from these things mentioned above).

That post didn’t say it was prophetic that I could see...

I took the verse as a reminder not to get overly concerned when we see these things happening...look at Haiti and that video where she cried out it’s the end of the world...and of course it wasn’t....we can find comfort in this verse...

My opinion on prophetic happenings, down the road, is they will be so powerful and worldwide encompassing that there will be no explanation for them and no countries will rescue because each will have their own crisis and overwhelmed by. What we have been seeing is hardly that.

Check around history and let us know when there were as many earthquakes as we've seen in the past twenty years. While you're at it, check out a chart that shows earthquake activity over time, and see what you think of the shape of that chart over the past couple decades. Should be an interesting chart and might give you at least a little pause in your position.

Famines, wars and earthquakes have happened practically every year of recorded human history and beyond. Nothing is new or prophetic about that fact.

But they never happened in conjunction with the formation of a one world government and a global economic collapse which is making the way clear for a new global currency and a new global economic system.

Those signs were given to us by Christ as warnings, when they are happening at the same time as other signs given throughout prophetic Scripture, that His return is very near.

So, yes, taken in the correct context, earthquakes as they are happening now, with increasing frequency in various places around the world, and along with the other signs occurring simultaneously , are prophetic and something to take very seriously.
